Just seen the first half highlights they could have had 4 with our defensive cock ups. Thought we had seen the back of this defending under Eustace. I would bring Hyam off for Carter at half time before it gets any worse having one of those nights. -
Complete disgrace in a rovers shirt, maybe he was on it whilst here which would explain a lot.

Need at least a point from this after last nights results. Bristol have 3 wins in their last 5 so will be a tough game but we have looked solid at the back recently so going for a 0-0. -
2024/25 Season Tickets

Combination of it being the quietest plus it’s well behind the standards of the other stands. It also used to be the cheap and cheerful option prior to covid. -
Rovers Rumours & Speculation

ha ha not often you see some professional slang being thrown about. Would love to know what he is specifically referring to? Is this guy involved in botched transfers of recent windows? -
2024/25 Season Tickets
roverblue replied to TheRevAshton's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Any goodwill from existing paying fans has been burnt by Waggot and Venkys so they will lose rather than gain fans in summer I think. Maybe if they invest in some good players and we get off to a good start there is a flurry of ST sales late in the summer. £250 in the riverside and free tickets for u15s with a paying ST holder (like PNE do) would be a good start. Gets the younger crowd in and converts them to paying fans later in life. Given the shambles on and off the pitch though I'm not sure even that would get more through the door, especially if we flog Sammy early doors. -
He has looked inconsistent but is one of the few players we have who want to play it forward. I wish he didn’t dwell on the ball so much especially in risky situations. As Matty said probably too much of a risk whilst in a relegation fight. Ayari is probably ahead of him in centre mid as well if Tronstad/JRC drops out.

Rovers Rumours & Speculation
roverblue replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The Wharton and Raya money is already gone to cover the Venky financial failings in my opinion. if we do sell Sammy in the summer hopefully at least some of that would be reinvested. It wouldn’t surprise me if we are looking at frees and loans again though now Venkys have a taste for keeping their money in their pocket. -
v Southampton (h) - 6/4/24

Good performance and disappointed we couldn’t sneak a win. Didn’t really create much of note though so a draw is a fair result. Markanday impressed today, properly got stuck in and deserves a chance if hedges is out for a bit. -
We are going down (the pessimism thread)
roverblue replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I’m still not convinced, the teams below and around us have all picked up points over the last 10 games and will continue to do so. Think we need another two wins at this point but maybe less as the games tick down. A positive under Eustace is we haven’t been thumped by anyone and rarely lost so might pick up enough just from draws. -

Dreamland! Deserved as well -
John Eustace - our head coach
roverblue replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Without Wharton pulling the strings we have nobody to create any chances. Without his through balls you need players bursting down the wings, taking on a man, having a shot from range, powering onto crosses and smashing it in. We have no players who can do that. It’s a team of hard working lads who want to pass it 5 yards to the next one. The recruitment has been total shite for far too long and losing Wharton without replacing him is the final nail in the championship coffin. -
We miss him massively, he was the only creative player in a side of plodders. If we do end up going down this season I’d pin it largely on him leaving. The only way it should have happened in January was if we had 4-5 money signings through the door at the same time.

Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?
roverblue replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
No surprise that he is struggling without Wharton picking his runs out or creating for others. We don’t even have a striker for him to play off when Gally is unfit (which is every other game). He must be miffed off with life at rovers and can see him moving early on in the summer window. -

I think we draw and lose our way to the end of the season and ultimately go down. Going for a 0-0 here. -
v Ipswich Town (h) - Good Friday, 29/3/24, 17:30
roverblue replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It feels like relegation is our destiny. Played well apart from the first 20mins. Ipswich started a lot more aggressive and were hungry for the points, no excuses for that John. Eustace and rovers really need a win. We have had an awful points return against some pretty poor sides in recent weeks. The squad is crying out for some wingers and a striker. Recruitment has been total shit for too long. -
Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

You can’t mention that on here as apparently we were Barcelona esque up until December. -

Again not surprised the players weren't happy, especially the defensive ones which were hung out to dry by JDT suicide football. If I was left in regular 3 vs 1 scenarios or being given a hospital pass in their own area whilst being closed down by the opposition I would feel the same. Either way it didn't need to be said, just go out and win some matches. There is far too much talk from the players, manager, DOF at the moment without the results to go with them. -
Just listened through and the guy certainly talks a good game. The proof will be in the pudding this summer, less talk more signings. And good ones for decent money not some unknown b team players with potential. I won't be renewing my season ticket until there is some evidence of ambition this summer after the Waggot pre-season surrender last year.

He would need a top squad and a top budget to bring success with the way he plays. Unless he learns the defensive side of the game he wont go very far. -
