  1. Feeling positive about this one, good start to the season and options in most areas of the pitch. Rovers 3 - 1 Bristol
  2. Shame we went out the Carabao as would have been a safer place to blood him in. Guess we stick with Pears till he cocks up or gets injured.
  3. Still early days for Eustace but looks a lot more promising this season than it did last. There seems to be more pissing about at the back creeping in which I'm not a fan off but its not an obsession like it was with JDT.
  4. Every derby game we look totally uninterested, just being out ran and out worked. No pressing or movement just trying to keep the score down by the looks
  5. Think the recruitment team have done a great job with very little budget. Good players in all around working with peanuts.
  6. If Godo is London based then Millwall makes sense. Hopefully there is an alternative still possible!
  7. If Cantwell does come where does he play as don't know much about him? Sounds like he takes Dolans spot rather than on the wing. Hope we are still bringing in some pacey wingers as it would make a huge difference to the team and our ability to threaten.
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24272122.joe-rankin-costello-names-best-position-blackburn/ "I think I'm best in midfield, I think it suits my game more," he explained. "I can get forward and help the team, I want to play box-to-box, get forward and help the team defensively. "I enjoy it and I am still learning. As a professional, at this level, I haven't played that many games in there. "I am getting used to it and enjoying it. Sonny (Tronstad) is very good, he does the stuff that maybe goes unnoticed. He does all of the dirty work and I enjoy working with him. "It's been frustrating for me, I feel like my season has just got going and it's coming to an end really. I will do the right things over the summer break, keep my body right and I hope I'll be ok next season."
  9. I think last season JRC said he wanted to be considered a centre mid going forward. Don’t think he has the engine for it unfortunately unless he needs an operation or something.
  10. It’s looking more grim by the day. Completely ridiculous that a club who have brought in over £40m didn’t have ready made deals to activate as soon as Sammy left. Absolute amateurs.
  11. JRC is so slow it’s like he is permanently carrying an injury. Had a mare tonight
  12. Id take Cantwell and the Liverpool LB on loan. We still dont seem to be going after pacey wingers which I think is our major weakness along with the GK.
  13. its not looking great at the moment, the court case being postponed has pissed on rovers chips in my opinion and the Sammy money has now gone back into covering for the Venkys fraudulent activities.
  14. Delighted with a tough win, Oxford looked a good side and will do well this season. First half rovers were awful and should have been 2-3 down. Second half much more competitive which coincided with Gueye coming on. Still worried about our fortunes this season but the new signings give me hope we will be ok. Really need some wingers in the side with power and pace if we want to kick on.
  15. Not that we have had much success with loans recently but there seems to be very few deals done this summer across the championship so far in terms of them. The system seems fundamentally broken where the premier league teams horde all this talent then try and charge us poorer clubs for the privelege of developing their talent and value for them.
  16. Delayed as expected. As soon as they got the Sammy money the pressure was off. I am sure they could get it seen to asap if they really wanted to with some pressure on the courts given the length and previous postponements.
  17. Selling Travis would be as ridiculous as it was loaning him out last January. A solid committed first team championship player that was missed massively the end of last season. It shouldn't even be a consideration unless we went out and bought 3 first class centre mids today.
  18. It is worryingly quiet on the transfer front in terms of links/rumours etc. Any normal club would have had a queue of deals and players waiting given the inevitability of Sammy leaving.
  19. Of the 3 teams that got promoted this one was statistically the worst. So on that basis it should be a comfortable home win. Rovers 3 - 0 Oxford
  20. Can envisage another postponement, especially now they have the Sammy money as they will be happy to coast through another 6 months without having to put their hand in their pocket.
  21. Lets hope we have 2-3 signings waiting to go now the money is coming rather than it dragging out till the end of the window. Seems awfully quiet in terms of links though.
  22. leave well alone if you can, his reputation far exceeds his talent. Lazy, soft and not made for the championship.
  23. If you want to get rid of something I agree. We don’t want to get rid of Szmodic.
  24. Rovers decide his value not Ipswich or the market. Pay what we want or piss off.
