  1. We pressed well last night and made a good Watford side look very ordinary. I said to those around me that at the end of the first half they looked completely disinterested even bereft. I think we made them look that rather then them having an off day. Hedges was mustard and fully deserved his MOTM award. BBD looked off it to me and he and Pickering didn't seem to gel well together. When Pickering did get the ball through to him Ben seemed unable to really bring the ball under his spell. Dolan was his usual hardworking self and presumably started for merit after his decent cameo vs Bristol City. His pressing and harrying are incredibly useful and help us squeeze much further up the pitch. Travis also played very well last night and as always looked much better in the middle. Morton also coming to the fore. I am a HUGE fan of Buckley but he will quite rightly need to step up if he wants to get back in the side. His time will come but he will need to take the opportunity.
  2. Really good show from many out there tonight. A very, very pleasing performance and victory!
  3. Travis can fuck off after that 3rd. Disgraceful
  4. Kaminski - 4 - got beaten far too easily for the 2nd and flapped at a cross which almost cost another. Made a good save from Long. Brittain - 3 - looked slow, lethargic and couldn't pass a ball. Awful performance and looked done in by Reading pushing on him so high up the pitch. Phillips - 6 - Did OK but both he and Ayala had no protection. Can easily see that he makes rookie decisions with the ball but he is literally a child and that will all come with age. Ayala - 6 - not the best from Daniel but had little to no protection from anyone around him. Was probably our best player on the pitch. Pickering - 4 - distribution awful and offered no threat going forward. One of his worst performances since he arrived IMHO. Buckley - 2 - I'm a massive Buckley fan but tonight he was honestly dreadful. When he did get the ball it was moved too slowly, gave the ball away too cheaply and didn't really try and challenge for the ball. Travis - 4 - awful. Was powderpuff by his standards and lacked any bite. Szmodics - 3 - anonymous. Offered nothing. Dolan- 3 - see Szmodics Vale - 4 - other than one run, see Dolan. BBD - 4 - BB was back tonight. The ball couldn't stick on the odd occasion he had it and when in a couple of good positions made really bad decisions. As mooted before the game this is an easy shot at him, but straight from the off he was ducking out of challenges and not getting stuck in. The same can be said of many tonight but looks like he could be going. Hedges - 5 - tried hard with no end product but still a significant improvement on Szmodics Dack - 4 - tried some flicks and quick interchanges of play but was off the pace. Gallagher - 3 - was back to his lacklustre best. I always want Sam to be so much better but the ball was just bouncing off him and he was a massive soft arse for the 3rd. Morton - N/A Edun - 5 - tried hard when he came on to no avail. We were basically out thought and out fought tonight. Reading wanted it and we seemingly didn't. This game was definitely more Mowbray then it was JDT. Slow, lethargic and moving the ball around slowly. I can only hope we have expelled much energy tonight so we are reinvigorated for a very tough game Saturday.
  5. You won't get many slower than Ayala and Wharton and they seem to be doing OK this season...
  6. United will pay him off no doubt. Its been done to death already but they owe him that dosh even if he's sold. £3m pay off for his wages owed until June next year, net what he gets from us. Everyone's happy.
  7. Phillips also looked like he had cramp also probably caused by the heat. Hopefully he can get through at least the majority of Wednesday and we get some more bodies in for Saturday.
  8. That's a shame for the lad. Hoping someone points out that you can fly to the Netherlands from either Liverpool or Manchester in 40 minutes.
  9. I think its a huge benefit, personally. Would certainly have meant I bought one this season as the ST was too much in a short period. Paying something like £35 a month feels like chicken feed as opposed to finding £400 in 6 weeks. Didn't realise Hull was a 12 month and then effectively month-to-month. I really think this would have legs but agree it would need an annual commitment.
  10. I don't think that's quite how it works. Looks like the Hull membership is for 12 months so you'd be expected to pay if you just stopped your DD.
  11. This isn't a reason to keep STs, surely it's the opposite? I'm sure any business would prefer a consistent stream of income throughout the year / season and not have huge peaks and troughs. Its a fantastic idea and one which is in place at my local club Southport. Its also not an instead of, its an as well as STs and comes with benefits over and above getting a ST.
  12. This is a bloody good shout!
  13. @jim mk2 I can confirm he's at Peterborough
  14. Sad for Rovers but probably a life changing situation for a 17 year old and also his family. He will probably go on to a 5 figure a week wage at Spurs without them even blinking. It's a shocking way the system works for Rovers in this instance but I'm sure we too have benefitted hugely from it in the past. The kid could ultimately and has not to date, achieved anything. Good luck to him but its just another reason for me to dislike the shite club from North London.

  17. I think you could be a bind here. I don't think the tickets are transferable so sharing of a season ticket is in essence in breach of the T's & C's so I don't think you'll be able to bump the ticket up to a full price one and pay the difference.
  18. Came down from my office and Mrs. BigUts has made me a Tony special. I genuinely asked if he was due over...she just looked at me like the idiot that I am 😁
  19. Dreaming of JPVH walking out at Ewood vs. Dingles. Literally got hearts in my eyes. As they say; catching feels for loan players is never a good idea
  20. Don't get this. Surely then you also can't pass judgement on whether or not he is or is not worthy of your support (or whatever you'd like to call it), unless you compare it with your own experience of running a multi million pound football operation both pre and post a worldwide pandemic?
  21. 11 - I would have gone for Giggs. As a kid he fascinated me and I remember seeing him for the first time at Ewood and being mesmerised.
