With Southampton, Palace and Norwich losing it's important we get 3 pts here to widen the gap -

I'm not sure about this one, maybe this is the game that starts Everton's slide or there again maybe not. With Everton's very good defence I cant see us getting much from them, hoping for a 0-0 but just maybe we could sneak a goal -

Palace have took off Rilihalti and put a striker on, need to keep it tight at the back and hope we can hit them on the break. We need the 3 points with Southampton winning against boro. According to Soccer Sat Palace have stepped up the pace -

I think most things have already been said on here, we showed fight and spirit even going down 1-0, we didnt fold and put up a fight to get back into the game, just a pity we gave them a easy second goal, we can be more confident going into our next two away games, against teams we should be beating. Was anyone at one the BBE bars during first half when one of the lads working behind the bar threw his cap to the floor and walked out of the bar. -

My opion Enckemen Cant be blamed for the goals, but was only gonna be lucky with pen save. Neill coming forward was good, but as a unit in back four looked uneasy at times. Gresko Nowhere near the player we signed on loan. Johassenn Just give up. never looked comfy all night Amo The better of a unsure back four, took pen well. Douglas/Tugay As a central midfield combo it was bad , Douglas was average and Tugay wasnt much better and what was Tugay doing with the penalty. Boythoryd A season in Italy has taught him how to go to ground well. Jansen Set up 1st goal nicely and just couldnt get on the end of any chances. Emerton Whaterver he's on keep giving it to him, a great display and a goal but had a injury in extra time De Pedro Looked a long way of pace Stead Low on confidence and a pen miss will not help his cause Pedersen Good runs and a well taken goal. Gallagher Good performance on his return and a great goal as well. Overall we had chances to kill the game off and we didn't take them, some performances did disapoint and hope we can get back together and sought it out for the Charlton match. -
If Hughes takes over next week his first match will be in the Carling cup, but surley he will be here on Saturday for the match against Portsmaouth and if I remember right when Kidd took over he was supose to be a spectator at his first game but ended up jumping up and down the touchline in the second half, maybe a Hughes inspired win on Saturday
-
I agree, It would be nice if we could appoint someone this week, but if Hughes is no 1 target then I feel we may have to wait a little longer than a week with the negotiations with the welsh F.A that we will have to do.

[Archived] Yorke To Celtic, No Brum.
Grabbi Graeme replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Got to echo whats been made on here that this will leave us short upfront, even though Yorke wasnt a great striker he was a experienced body we could put on the field if needed, unless we have something up our sleeve before midnight, maybe Sutton coming this way as part of deal. -

[Archived] Lee Hughes Jailed For 6 Years
Grabbi Graeme replied to den's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
6years is not enough, a family has lost a father and a husband and it also leaves physical and mental scars that will take more than 6 years to heal. The chances are he wont even serve 6 years under our soft touch justice system. -
I was in Edinburgh on Saturday and was listening to football phone in on Radio Scotland and Alex Mcleish was getting a right slating from fans because Rangers only drew with Aberdeen, with most fans calling for him to be sacked after just one game, hope we dont get like that next Saturday if we dont get all 3 points

According to the nice lady I spoke to at the ticket office , the tickets for the Sporting Lisbon friendly go on sale tomorrow. There is no arrangement where season ticket holders can claim there own seat, just a case of if it's still available when you go for your ticket. I didnt ask price though
