Unless we've been really stupid and offered him a ridiculous deal (which I highly doubt), this Rodwell deal is kind of a win win for us. Does terribly - get rid. Does well - we have a decent player on our books. Had bags of potential back in the day so let's hope he can finally live up to it here if it happens! One thing is for sure, i'll be backing him 100% to succeed.

Yeah, that reason will be the same reason most players that move don't get in their squads during the transfer window. To prevent injury and a potential move from falling through. Some people just presume he's not in the squad because he is 'crap' and 'not even good enough for Boro'.

I think I would be inclined to start the same team as the weekend but have Rothwell in there instead of Smallwood. I feel like eventually he will replace Smallwood in there so i'd like to see him starting a few games to ease him in. Wouldn't be unhappy to see Bennett in CM either with Rothwell or Armstrong moving out wide and Graham coming back in up top. Would feel a bit bad for Armstrong though as I think he's been great in the last two games up front.

I agree. You have to progress as a club. If Dack does well in the league this year (which he is) then he'll end up being rewarded financially to the same as a McGinn or whoever that makes more as he'll have proven he deserves it.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong it’s a little anticlimactic but at this stage there’s nobody else realistically that we could get that I would want. I guess it’s all opinions but he’ll improve our situation quite a lot!
