Why are some people dissing Sam Gallagher so much? Who are people realistically expecting us to sign? He’s no superstar but he’s young and hungry and he did well when he was here under a terrible ‘manager’. I for one think he’ll do even better with the attacking players he’ll have around him this time. Even more so if we get another decent winger in.
-
Haha, that’s a great strike but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
-
I’m sorry but am I the only one that doesn’t get Wickham? Always gets linked everywhere and most people seem to think he’s good. I really don’t, what’s he ever done?
-
Only thing I will say on Maddison because obviously we haven’t been linked to him that much is that earlier on in the window I am sure the chairman mentioned a club wanted to pay in instalments. Maybe we’ve been clever here and the way we end up doing that (if it was us) is paying a loan fee then the rest of the fee in January? Obviously, it’s most probably not us after him but just a thought.

Nothing like a positive outlook to get you going after work!
-
I really hope that Rich Sharpe doesn't have a clue what is going on.
-
He's naturally a winger so it wouldn't be out of position. QPR moved him to a central role
-
Can't see us spending that on a back up keeper - is Raya going? I hope not.
-
Sorry, my mistake

This messageboard makes me laugh - from doom and gloom to out of this world positivity. And I absolutely love it. I'm still in the quietly optimistic category but if we've still not heard anything by 2pm i'll start to get the rope out.
-
Ings? He is the only forward that isn't a youngster that seems available but I doubt that would ever happen.
-
Is this one of those were as soon as something happens you claim it's what you're talking about? It's transfer deadline day - anyone could do that.
-
Palmer, Rothwell and Armstrong can 'do a job' out there. A natural winger would be better though for sure
-
If we get Freeman and a striker (Gallagher) imagine having Graham, Gallagher, Dack, Bennett, Palmer, Freeman, Rothwell and Armstrong all battling for those top 4 spots. Great competition!
-
Deep playmaker? He’s a winger.
-
Yeah although QPR have been playing him more centrally, he’s mostly been a winger though!
-
Me, because we definitely need a striker too! Here’s hoping we grab 2 or more
-
Mainly chose him due to being actually in form for once. Want to see if he can keep it up haha
-
Because it’s a discussion. If we were dealing with facts regarding our transfers you would be able to fit this thread on to one page/

I’d be happy with Chapman. Exciting player with bags of potential and an England international through all the age groups so far! Same as Armstrong really - bags of potential and has been quality for us when played. No brainer for the right price!
-
What I would go with - Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Bennett Evans Armstrong Dack Palmer Graham Mowbray will probably start Smallwood, Williams and Samuel though Just realised this is the exact same as Ewood Ace - apologies but great taste
-
Was just thinking this. Not a whisper in sight - worrying or encouraging?
-
Everytime I see 'loan with an option to buy' all I can think of is that will be how we end up with Chapman. Think Tony wants to judge him properly before committing to a permanent deal.
-
Apparently Trapp is a box to box midfielder who can pick a good pass and has a great engine. So basically, something we don't have. Dunno if he is any good though
-
We may not NEED another CM but like people have said about McGinn, if the player is someone that can come in to the starting 11 because they are better than what we have there already then I don't mind - I welcome it. Do need to shift some deadwood though. Have to imagine Whittingham will be shifted/paid off and Travis and Tomlinson will be sent on loan
