Vydra is on his way to Burnley anyway isn't he?
-
Yeah! He does a great Bagpuss impression as well, mind.
-
Oh no, not at all. I in no way think that this window has gone swimmingly and completely to plan for Mowbray. But shit happens and he would have liked to have gotten people through the door earlier but that rarely happens at any club. I just think that we do have money to spend and that he is trying his hardest to get what he sees as the best value for money.
-
Did Bournemouth and Leicester do it as well? Didn't realise really but that may have just been naivety on my part when it came to FFP
-
Yeah, I think it has only ever worked for Wolves last season. Teams could be in trouble if they ever get pulled on it properly!
-
So it seems that if we are interested in McGinn we'll have to throw a serious bid in and see who he chooses. I do hope we want him, would be a great signing!
-
Yeah, I understand that but we've not signed any freebies. I am talking about this window in particular. Nothing for this window suggests we have no money available. Just because players have gone for money that we would have liked as fans, doesn't mean we couldn't afford them or wanted to pay for them. We probably just haven't been after them.
-
Or maybe he does and he doesn't want to waste it or bide his time? I'm sure some people would be happy to just pay a big fee for some waste of space just to show that we have money to spend. I'm happy he's not blowing 'big' money - this is what gets clubs like us in to trouble.
-
I hope this McGinn rumour is legitimate. What a player - best player in Scotland outside of Celtic! I know we are well stocked in CM but he is a class above anyone else we have there so if it can happen, I hope it does
-
Delighted with this. Much needed pace added, cash buy, knows the team and the club, young and hungry! Great stuff

Positive prediction 3-0. Graham, Dack and Samuel to bag -
What’s his Twitter handle?
-
Looks like Agent Benno will be busy tomorro! Funny what spending a bit of money on a player most of the fans like does to the morale of the fan base!
-
I don’t see it as that really. I am not buying in to the ‘Armstrong is on the D list’ vibe. I think he’s always been a strong target - I just hope there’s another one following him who’s proven at this level as well. Armstrong would be a good signing, fits in well and has an abundance of potential. Proven scorer in as well to compliment it would be great
-
One good season and he’s 28 suggests he’s not good enough. Wonder season?
-
I am a Rovers fan and season ticket holder who knows someone at Brockhall. Doesn't mean I know what I am talking about. I would take his statement with a pinch of salt. I would imagine with how tight things have been surrounding the transfers at the club thus far that he's making it up otherwise he'd have had knowledge like this all window. Anyway, wouldn't like Waghorn - don't think he is good enough but again, this is probably BS aswell.
-
Not my argument but I stand by saying that Will Hughes won Football League’s Young Player of the Year in 2014.
-
If it was Roberts he could be leaving permanently instead.
-
Really strange, for 2.5m he seems like a steal but again, I am not sure what else that can buy you in today's market. Could be seen as a risk but he has the quality to step up, I have no doubts about that. Some players you can just tell are too good for their division - Dack as an example. Some clubs in the Championship will have 2.5 to spend even if it's not us so seems strange for sure.
-
I wonder if Maddison has ever been on one of Tony's lists? I just can't see nobody taking a chance on him...
-
Will Hughes definitely won young player of the year. Think it was 2014 if I am not mistaken
-
Most of me agrees with you. I think I've just gotten to the stage that this Armstrong saga has dragged on for so long (if it is him we're after) that it would be nice to see him on a permanent deal just to kind of put my mind at rest. If that makes sense? Almost like you can accept what Tony has been saying about the competitive budget and we're not all going crazy with our 'loans only' policy we presume is occurring.
-
Could have been a diversion tactic to throw people? *clutches at worlds biggest straws*
-
I can't help but think this Armstrong story is going to be a negative one. Hope I am surprised
-
I am hoping it is Patrick Roberts but I doubt he'll be coming here.
