Yes agree that Ewood is short of atmosphere, lower the ticket price and fill the ground !

The team/squad are playing fro the manager, imo we need to keep hold of him .

[Archived] Benni Mccarthy - Gone
Blueheart replied to adam lodge's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
The reality after todays game is that we cannot let Benni McCarthy leave the club...he is the only creative we have at the moment. His understanding with Holliet looks very promising. Benni has got to stay . -
Any so called Rovers fans crying for Hughs' blood wants to pack up anf go and surport another club. You have to give the man credit for he has achieved at this club and such a limited budget and with such a small town club, lets face we are not your United's or your Chelsea's who can attract any player they want. Personaly I felt sorry for hughs last night and to a certain extent embarrased that we are unable to meet up to his expectations. I just hope that he will not be lured away by another club who will feed his enthusiasm for Euope and success.

And by the way, I felt embarrased for Tugay having to watch Mccarthy win the goal of the season award, when Tugs goals were far and away much classier than his. It just felt that BRFC had to let Mccarthy win something so his nose wasn't put out of joint ! -

Mccarthy is too full of himself and in my opinion not too much of a team player. yes he has scored goals but the majority were just simple tap ins. it would have been good of him to have said that he would like to play Cl with Blackburn and if he had got his finger out more a 4th spot would have been realisitic. -

A real goal..what do you mean ! Garry Lineker got most of his goals from simple tap ins. A good goal poacher is one who is in the right place at the right time. -

[Archived] What Squad Would You Select?

With the injuries we have at the moment, all of the team looks weak. With Savage and Reid out , we need someone to be a ball winner in midfield and link up with attack, but i dont think the axe is the answer. Personally with Emerton hopefully back, we could put Jay mceverly at left back, and then have Lucas Neil in midfield in front of the back four, which would also allow Tugs to get more forward and be th play maker for the attack. -

No smoke without fire . If Ali dice is as innocent as he makes out, then why is he not pressing his solicitor to commence proceedings for slander against the Beeb ? -

Last nights result was down to Todd's ineptitude at this level. He is too slow and not level headed enough to deal with the game. How we didnt have a penalty awared against us after his pathetic challenge in the box on Johnson I will never know. Soory , but Hughes must resign Todd to the bench in the next game and put Oojier straight in. -
I think it will be down to our defence tonight as to if we get the 3 points. Personally I think we should stick with Nelson and Kishvilli (forgive the spelling) as todd may not have the speed to match Roberts and cammara

Much will depend on how are defense plays. If the defense is as shaky as it was against Villa, I can see us losing this one. What's happened to kishvilla ?( pardon my Spelling ) I think he is musc sounder in the middle with Nelson than Todd. -
Rovers played really well on Sunday but the sloppiness creeping in at the back is worrying. Todd and Gray are too slow and we need to have alternatives when we are playing teams with nippy wingers.

Based on the appathetic efforts of the team against a 10 man Everton last Saturday and the boring unentertaining performance last night, can you blame anyone in the right mind in stomping up cash to come and watch these types of displays. Until the public can be ensured to see some kind of entertainment for their money what do you expect but low crowds.

I can see Sunderland putting 11 man behind the ball and we doing everthing but score.

Mark my words....this cockup will come back to haunt us...we should never let him go ! -
Hope we dont get drawn against a big club like Birmingham !!! Savage enough said, he does nothing for the team or the club's image, just hope his old big club come in for him in January.
