  1. I’m sickened by this. Stinking night for Arma and Mowbray. Arma - nothing more needs to be said but he was awful tonight, doesn’t have a brain, not fit to lace Rhodes’ boots Mowbray - Playing Johnson for a full 90? Pulling Rothwell off? Can’t have Douglas either, he’s not good enough. I don’t rate Bell but I’m not sure he’s even an upgrade. I think we still have the quality to finish in the top 6 but we can kiss goodbye to automatics by not winning these games.
  2. Johnson should have been off 30 mins ago for Davenport. It was a poor 1st change from Tony unfortunately.
  3. A win here would be massive looking at other results. It’s been such a frustrating night though from Armstrong. Low % attempts.
  4. That pressure from Rothwell was superb. I just love seeing our players like that. Full of energy and passion.
  5. Drop £30m from that laughable £40m people were joking about Arma on the other thread when the PL clubs watch him here.
  6. Season pass is full video and audio. You can’t buy a day pass for it with video though as it’s on sky. (I think)
  7. If they can get into tier 2 (unlikely) then they’d be allowed 2k in. Another £40k or so there and great for the fans who can see Rooney at Victory Park.
  8. This is how I view it too, they’re side by side, he isn’t pushing him in the back or anything. Both players with arms out side by side and Toney shrewdly falls to the ground easily. Clever after the ref waved one off previously. The Lenihan yellow card frustrated me more. Unnecessary, although the ref gave a straight red for the penalty anyway so it would have made no difference.
  9. Absolutely superb! A fantastic result and will surely be a boost going into the Bristol City match where we are favourites to win. Nyambe, Johnson and Gallagher were all outstanding today, honourable mention to Ayala too who had a good day and Davenport for a solid cameo. Buckley was thrown in the deep end at RB, not the right decision in my view, but he was very good going forward, suspect defensively as you’d expect and that led to the goal. Brentford look a decent way off the quality they’ve shown in last 2 years but they’ll be up there at the end of the season. We were by far the better side for 30 mins and they did nothing after their 2nd goal too. We seem to have a different mentality this year and the work rate has stepped up a level. Always a rollercoaster away to Brentford!! Their current crop of players seem very hard to like.
  10. What happened to Williams? Is he injured? I thought he went to play for Ireland and then caught Covid, but we’ve not seen him since.
  11. Before the red card I thought Trybull, Johnson and Rothwell were playing excellent. What a shame and it’s absolutely killed the game for us. We say it every week but the quality of referees at this level is nothing short of shambolic. But we rode our luck with decisions vs Millwall so all teams are suffering the same poor decisions.
  12. Strong start. 1 or 2 passes / bits of quality away from a clear cut chance. Johnson is looking like he’s going to have one of his good days. Douglas does worry me a little at left back. It’s certainly our weakest position in the squad.
  13. Disappointed that he’s resting Holtby, but glad Wharton is back in as he hasn’t put a foot wrong yet. Imagine this place at 5pm if we come out with 3 points!
  14. Not sure I have the same views on a Brentford defence that has only conceded 2 goals in the last 7 games. Albeit against nobody as lethal as ourselves. Agree with the rest though, leagues top 2 scorers, open match, a few fans back in the ground. Just a shame life isn’t normal as it would have been a great Saturday away trip.
  15. Tough 3 games (and Stoke away after Rotherham who are much improved this season). I'd take 4 points from the 3 personally, draws aren't the worst either. Bristol City are punching above their quality, I think that game is very winnable so long as we don't suffer many more injuries. Saturday will be the toughest, i'd be happy with anything there. Armstrong v Toney. Brentford (L), Bristol City (W), Norwich (D)......then probably lose to Rotherham
  16. Yeah, thinking about it, that was the kind of game where we really missed Trav.
  17. Great defending by Nyambe on their counter attack Bell particularly poor. I’m worried about him if he’s playing against Brentford on Saturday. Holtbys worst game for a while, he’s so much better alongside Rothwell. Can’t say he had much help in the middle though, and he’s so important to make us click. Not the game to bring on Dolan for me. Few bad decisions made but he’s young and raw and I’d rather see him in open games where we’re dominating. No idea what formation / personnel we were playing at the end. Bit of an in-play tombola. Referee was shocking, but we say it every week, it’s terrible at this level. Hope Big Ben isn't out for too long. Absolute smash and grab at the end, the kind of game we wouldn’t win or see out in the past (looked shakey from 90 on to be fair). Eases some pressure going into Brentford, that’ll be open, I want us back with Holtby and Rothwell central for that.
