Just when you think those running the show couldn't sink any lower. It almost makes me want to believe the 'they want to avoid promotion' conspiracies. Horrible list of names, what on earth do Waggott and Gestede actually do day to day apart from count their wage.
-
If they were correct. We're on 1.54 ppg not 1.45. Therefore, the 1.46 ppg we need to reach 70 points is actually a drop in our average. We're the only team from 5th downwards that needs LESS ppg than we've averaged so far to reach 70. We just need to be average to finish in the Top 6 - it's just so often at this stage of the season we're not even that.

I’d rather give him a shot after winning the league, knowing he is a vocal manager about shite going on around him, than the likes of Karanka, Ismael etc. His next job will be the Championship, whether it’s us or someone else. Outside of Cooper nobody fills me with much hope. I’d take a punt on someone up and coming like Duff / Carsley after that rather than some of the other dross

It’s got an unprecedented Rovers death spiral written all over it. 😬

Do people actually 'apply' for the role of manager of a football club. Is someone at the club receiving CVs from the Bradford manager. I'd have thought it would just be Manager tells agent he'd be interested, agent contacts club, club decide if they want to speak to them (and also vice versa with club contacting managers' agent). Seems strange, and somewhat unrealistic that people would be 'applying' for the job in this industry, and for over 100 to do so.

For Norwich to reach 70 they'd need: win 7, draw 5, lose 1 (70 points) win 8, draw 2, lose 3 (70 points) win 9, lose 4 (71 points) All doable like you say, but it's difficult, and that's just the minimum they'd need. It would also require two teams to do it to knock Rovers out now. All we need to do now is be ordinary and we have a real good chance. (though we said the same twice before recently)

2 from Rovers, WBA, Coventry and the winner of Bristol City v Boro on Friday I think. Bristol City have the toughest run in, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford have a negative GD so it's hard to imagine either team suddenly averaging 1.92 (they'd need more due to their GD too). Norwich downwards, although they need 2 ppg to reach 70, they're only 4 points off WBA. 7 behind ourselves is a nice cushion. Interesting that every contender would have to better their current PPG to reach 70 points except for ourselves, who could perform worse and still make it.

Boateng was a coach at Villa whilst Gerrard was there (albeit not a Gerrard hire and in the U23 squad)

74 would mean 2 of West Brom, Coventry, Bristol City etc. would have to average 2+ points per game (equivalent of a 92 point season). Very slim chance 2 of those teams can be consistent and put that together (as big as 2.3 ppg for Norwich to reach that). It's a season where 4 teams have Top 2 form whilst everyone else bunches together so it'll be a low total. I'd be very surprised if 71 isn't enough this year, we have a steady GD too currently (only WBA better)

6 wins, 2 draws, 5 defeats. Feels pretty do-able for sure, and I’d be very surprised if 71 points didn’t get us a spot this season.

The worrying thing is the bold (majority) are all either gone at the end of the season or out of contract in the next 6/12/18 months. We need to get Travis and Tronstad tied down asap. We should give Ribiero a longer deal if he continues as he has started. We should extend Dolan - despite what many say on here he is a solid Championship attacker and won’t be short of suiters (no point selling as we never reinvest) Hyam may be at his ‘Lenihan’ stage and want more money, but if the deal is right, tie him down too.

They’re not wrong. I thought we looked really good today. Fully in control and should have been a goal up in the 1st half. Kept possession really well with the midfield dominating. I wasn’t sure how much was to do with Plymouth being crap, but if they’re saying that then maybe we’ve looked better than their recent opponents. -
Eustace…he gone…*official*

Great by Gueye and Kargbo there too! Such a good goal! Gueye, Dennis, Ohashi, Kargbo, Dolan, Cantwell. Good 6 options for our 4 attacking players -

Dolan has had another good game. The bloke is a solid championship attacker and we’d be clambering to sign him if he was on the opposition. Fully deserving of a new contract. edit: and posted before the goal!! -

Forshaw!!!! Christ it must all be lining up for us 😂 9 years since his last goal, and it comes against his old club. Equivalent of Nyambe scoring against us 😂 -

No excuse to not have Dennis on the pitch here - these are terrible at the back -

Boro now losing - downside would be they might pot Carrick if they lose and that suddenly becomes more appealing for vacant managers -

He looks a league below this in my opinion -
They have a horrible run in (Leeds, Sheffield Utd, Burnley, Sunderland, West Brom, Boro, Norwich, QPR) 8 of the top 12 - 2 of which are themselves and us. But I agree, it would be nice if they fucked off and left a bit of a gap

This PNE pitch is awful - sad indictment of the Football League

Well I listed 3 games from 5 or 6 in Europe this season so not a one off. You implied Chorley would give them a game. Like I said, It wouldn’t even be a conversation if we were linked to some hipster manager in European leagues like Austria, Greece, Scandinavia.
