  1. Wouldn’t surprise me if Bournemouth get Dembele and Cantwell and decide to pull out of the Rothwell deal. They’ve done enough to upset our camp and don’t need all 3 of them.
  2. Not a chance he goes to Bournemouth surely. We just reject their offer regardless and accept Chicago / Any Other. If he wants out he has his chance….just not to Bournemouth / QPR / Boro / Sheff Utd etc.
  3. Ha - would be hilarious, his missus can fly off and leave family and friends behind for a bit of MLS.
  4. I’ve missed the last 10 or so pages….is he allegedly off to Chicago now?
  5. A tiny tiny part of me thinks this too. We definitely shouldn’t sell to them at any cost, and I’m sure if he’s off it’s too the Prem. Never the less, if it’s Bournemouth, what more motivation do the team need for the remainder.
  6. A fairly solid 0-0, I thought we were lucky to be level at HT but 2nd half they did nothing and a point was fair enough overall. I think I counted 7 academy players out of 11 on the pitch at one point, very impressive but obviously shows our lack of depth. Our best 10 minutes was around the hour mark and it was the time Buckley was growing into the match more, making that substitution even more bizarre, as we did absolutely nothing afterwards. Back line were superb again, especially Van Hecke. Travis the other man who stood out to me, it was his kind of match (scrappy). Likewise Johnson did a job and fair play he’s managed back to back 90 minutes. It puts a little bit more pressure on the Swansea match, but a win there and we’ve got to be delighted with 4 points from the 2 fixtures (and 4 points clear of 3rd). For a bit of perspective, Luton were favourites for this match and getting through Boro (50/50) and Luton (Luton favs) with 4 points and no Brereton, Dolan, Rothwell, Pickering (Khadra for 1 match) as well as others, has to be seen as a success Now let’s get back to loaning some 16 year old lads and selling Rothwell to our rivals!
  7. Attitude is the big one for me (linked to his fitness). He is constantly sulking. We’re 2nd in the league and you’re on the pitch you should be absolutely loving life and grafting your boll*cks off!
  8. Lockyer is some filth isn’t he. Proper vile footballer
  9. Lucky to be 0-0 not sure about so far so good. Gallagher has reverted to type, for such height and size he is so weak and poor at holding the ball up. I also feel like he’s too far wide on the left (not his fault). We should be getting at them through the middle. Hopefully we come out with a bit more aggression and ambition.
  10. I’ve got the Rovers comms on mine and they’re growing on me a little. They stuck a nice dig in on Gavin Ward earlier on
  11. But I’m backing Zeefuik 20/1 to score anytime. You don’t get that sort of price for a wide forward / winger often!
  12. It was amateur hour during the stoppage in play against Boro. They were all stood around for 20 minutes kicking a ball about like under 12s, then play resumed, one sprint and he was holding his hamstring. Whilst Boro had the trainer on doing warm ups.
  13. Maybe free hit was the wrong wording. But Bournemouth are playing in the FA Cup that weekend. It allows us to stretch the gap to 6 points (9 if we win and they lose today), put some heavy pressure on their games in hand
  14. Doesn’t sit right with me that South America only gets 4 automatic slots at a Word Cup. It’s not balanced enough with too many European countries qualifying.
  15. Hope the lucky 1,000 enjoy themselves and get the result to boot. It feels like a massive game with Bournemouth playing bottom of the league and Rovers having a free hit against Swansea next week.
  16. Will Gavin Ward ever face repercussions for his awful decisions? Hope he doesn’t get any more of our game this season. Anyway….for those who like an emotional hedge (please bet responsibly etc.) - best price elsewhere about 9/4
  17. Not a chance he’s going to Bournemouth. For a few million we’re better leaving him in the u23s than sell to a rival. Would be suicidal. Brentford or a Prem team is a different matter, could see that happening and I could see us accepting it (not that I’d agree with that either) At least we can now answer the “who drops out to fit Dack into this team?” question.
  18. Yeah that Villa run was unreal. I have a small worry that someone like Sheffield United do the same, or WBA / Bournemouth after changing manager like Villa did.
  19. 6th place haven’t won the playoffs since Blackpool in 2009/10. In the 11 seasons since, 5 times 3rd has gone up and 9 times out of 11 it’s been 3rd or 4th. The team challenging for 2nd went up the last two years in Brentford and Fulham
  20. Preston are the better team so far. WBA aren’t up to much and the atmosphere is completely flat. It’s not the happiest of camps there right now.
  21. George Nunn as a few others said is the only non-partridge reference that looks like a possibility. Blue (Chelsea or Rovers) Nun (Nunn) Also plays a similar position to Khadra apparently, and fits all the loan talk. Admittedly I’ve not a clue if he’s any good but it certainly doesn’t excite me.
  22. Wish we had something different to Sweet Caroline though 😂 Superb 3 points and someone said it pre-match about this match showing us what kind of minerals the lads have. Thought they put a great shift in, right when it was needed. Gallagher had a great game and a bonus sticking one in the net. He’s much better in the air when defending rather an attacking. We missed Travis so much against Hull. I absolutely love the back 3. So much effort and desire from all of them. Darragh turning into a proper leader! Mad to think Ayala can’t get a game, no better compliment to them all than that. Nyambe solid, not really a sniff down that side from them. Good cameo from Zeefuik, looks fast and strong, albeit we didn’t see him defend much. That being said, we could easily have conceded at the end and we sat too deep. No depth on the bench, and the difference between bringing on Dolan and Butterworth is pretty big in those situations.
  23. Agree completely. I said he was poor first half but fairs fair he’s looked better since the stoppage in play.
