  1. Poor use of language also puts people off. An example is CV's; I would, and do, relegate any CV to the bottom of the pile if it included spelling mistakes and poor grammar. These are CV's for professional roles by the way.
  2. Yep....beach bums, the lot of them. Senior is doing the Punch & Judy Show. Cheston is trying to sell deck chairs (season tickets) on the Titanic.
  3. The CT do some fantastic work. I am unsure of the funding but I hope they survive.
  4. Bowyer / Lambert / Mowbray........who is the next no hoper going to be?
  5. Wish I had gone......totally forgot about it. Well done again to the <23's.
  6. The wife is from Cas and is a Cas fan!! She is mild mannered and speaks posh, indeed she now sounds like she is from the Ribble Valley.
  7. I agree with you re Dunn. Saunders may well be able to step up, however I was more alluding to the <21's players and them being able to step up. They will have to step up sometime (maybe not with Rovers with the rumours that PNE are looking to poach / sign a few) and given their enthusiasm I would suggest now is the time.
  8. Spot on Barry. We are approaching the point of no return and we must do something different.
  9. If you watched the youngsters at Ewood last night they had these basics off to a tee. It sounds a wee bit like the blame game to me.
  10. 2-1 we could not do worse than base the team on Friday on the one that played tonight.
  11. A cracking first half (0-0) of football which was shaded by Rovers. We hit the inside of the bar and it came down onto the line and both Willem Tomlinson and Anthony Stokes has brilliant shots saved. Tomlinson and Elliot Ward were stand out players for me. Tomlinson is as hard as nails and has good position and distribution. Raya did not have a save to make although he was chivvying the outfield players all game, his distribution was excellent. Probably one of the most enjoyable games I have seen at Rovers for some time. It will be interesting to see away the other PB (Parson) has to say.
  12. Tell the plumber to hurry up Paul. Is it your ballcock?! In a strange way I am looking forward to seeing some 'honest' football if that is the right word.
  13. Yep, I think I will go as well. I would rather watch these than the 1st team.
  14. I used to have that feeling every time I walked or drove down Livesey Branch Road and turned the corner to see Ewood whether there was a game on or not. I loved the place. Sadly indifference is taking over and it reminds me of plague.
  15. Den, the most predictable thing in life, after death, is that people are consistently inconsistent. So where are we.....at the moment we are alive watching the destruction of a community club loved by so many....that basket case called Blackburn Rovers. In a World of horrors and bloodshed I guess we should focus on what matters in life and try and recall the enjoyment that Rovers once brought us. Amen, and sorry for the sermon from Mount Hoghton.
  16. Exactly Lancaster. It will be the fans fault for not turning up, and the Club therefore have to make savings. They will be reducing the size of chocolate bars soon and serving up 90% of a pint.
  17. I remember a poster on this MB who said in a PM to me that the Championship would be better for us as it would enable us to be more competitive and would bring more excitement. You could not make it up. As it was a private PM I cannot reveal the poster.
  18. If you take away Villa, Newcastle, Preston and Leeds then our 'real' average gate this season is probably around 8,000. Take away the predicted loss of ST holders next season (I know of 3 lomg termers who are packing in) and the lack of big* games for next season then it is not looking good. *Would you regard Fleetwood , Oldham, Bury, Rochdale or Wigan as big games? Mind you Steele and the bods in front of him may just hit form for our remaining games.
  19. Gate wise I see us on a par with Northampton / Gillingham / Chesterfield next season. If we hit the giddy hights of Coventry and >9,000 I will be surprised. Will the Riverside and DE still be open for home fans next season? I know the 'management' (sic) promised no more stand closures but do you trust them? Do you really trust them?
  20. Signed and professionally framed RFS shirt along with Certificate of Authenticity. The framing is lovely by a mate of mine with a shop in Leyland. £65. I will deliver in the the Blackburn, Preston, Chorley, Leyland areas.
