  1. Might be in a minority here, but I quite like that side... More steel in midfield to contain and frustrate them (so long as it works!) Got options on the bench for later too.
  2. Never actually went in there, but who could forget those windows? Iconic....
  3. Same with Ribble Valley, closer to home! Very frustrating that London boroughs with much higher infection rates are tier two....
  4. Happy to hold my hands up that when Dack was injured against Wigan, I was incredibly concerned about where the goals were going to come from. I wasn’t sure that Armstrong would fill the void. I’ll be honest, I’ve not just got egg on my face, I’ve got a week’s worth of my daily omelettes all over it and long may that continue!
  5. Funnily enough, I’m always guided by the design on a can, if I’m ever unsure. As it goes, that approach has served me well, with a lot of the craft beers!
  6. Seems like you aren’t familiar with IPA and the like. If you buy any of these in shops, these prices aren’t too foreign tbh!
  7. I think what has pleased me the most about last night and the Barnsley game at the weekend, is us being up against it, not playing that well, but still emerging with six points. Last season, I’m not sure that would have been the case! More of the same for the rest of the season please lads!
  8. Hi- just so we are clear, as I think this thread will have the potential to get views on politics involved very quickly, any views on Brexit or political parties within posts will be removed. Don’t say you weren’t warned!
  9. Yeah, and look what that has meant for our balance sheet. Hence my concern that he’s taken two years to properly get going, whatever the reasons. So basically, you’re agreeing that everyone is right to have an opinion and they all have a point?
  10. We’re Blackburn Rovers, not Man City. When we spend £7 Million on a player, we need them to be ready to get straight in the first team, we haven’t got the cash for that! I’m glad Brereton has been playing well, I’m dead pleased for him and everyone associated with the club, it’s to all our benefit that he does! However much game time he had or didn’t have doesn’t matter, he’s doing well now, so what is the issue? Does it really matter what someone nobody has ever met said online two years ago? The way people are going on is like fans were regularly sending Brereton those kidnap style letters with words cut out of newspapers. (Obviously red tops, such letter writers would be too thick to read broadsheets).
  11. We were dominated for much of this game and still pulled a win out of the bag. It’s nice to be on the right side of that tbh.
  12. More of my mates are covered than aren’t, indeed a long time friend is a tattoo artist and has a studio. One of my closest mates is covered right up to his neck and on his hands, but he works off shore, so it doesn’t interfere with his work at all! In fact, he earns far more than I do! I’ve absolutely no issue with people having tattoos, to be honest. I take the approach I take with most of life- ‘if they’re happy and not hurting anyone, does it really matter what they do?’
  13. Sort of fell out of love with football for a bit in my late teens (I had to get up to play at 9am on a Sunday and I loved a beer) having played regularly up to then. Quickly got my head straight and got back at it, I still play a lot (when we are allowed). In terms of people I’ve played with or against that have turned pro- played against Keith Barker (once of our academy, now playing cricket), Richard Chaplow, the ex Burnley academy product and I’ve played against Mark Patterson on the Soccer Dome. This was a few years back and he’s still unreal. Doesn’t even have to move and he runs the show. More recently, I played against Brett Ormerod at Hyndburn Sports Centre. He only played a half and that was all he needed. You just can’t get near him!
  14. Just checked our GD, joint best in the league, along with Bournemouth. Could be a very handy trick up our sleeve, if we maintain it, come the end of the season!
  15. People have their opinions, even if I don’t agree with them. For what it’s worth, I never completely wrote him off at any point and more hoped he came good based on what he showed prior to this season, than expected him to tbh. That said, I was definitely concerned we’d spent a lot of money (for us) on a player that wasn’t contributing like I would have expected for such a fee. I’m happy to eat my words and enjoying the feed, words never tasted so good!
  16. Like everyone else that had their doubts, I’m delighted that Brereton is playing well and really contributing to the team now. Long may it continue! However, I don’t think anyone could be blamed for questioning how much we spent on someone that essentially took two years to get going in all honesty! He’s playing well now and rather than focussing on what someone said ages ago, maybe it would be a better idea to enjoy one of our players playing really well? After all, if Brereton does well, it benefits everyone at the club and associated with it! (I.E fans).
  17. Can’t fault tonight’s performance at all, it was a massacre, if I’m being honest. PNE were appalling. £10 very well spent. Lovely.
  18. https://www.pne-online.net/forum/index.php?threads/match-day-pne-v-the-plastics-24-11-2020-ko-19-45-championship.3431976/page-38#post-3811628 If anyone wants a good laugh. I happen to be working in the Preston area tomorrow. Excited!
  19. We’ve been very good tonight, to be fair. Glad we are smashing them. Actually let out a laugh after Dolan bagged.
  20. Whilst I understand the need to rest players like Elliott, on account of his age, if Gallagher is on the wing and we have actual wingers on the bench, it is still frustrating!
  21. We certainly owe this lot one after them having a real hoodoo over us the last few years. They haven’t won at home all season either, I think we know how these things usually play out.... Come on Rovers, prove me wrong!
  22. If Bell plays, we will concede anyway, he’s an absolute liability and has been for pretty much the whole time he’s been here....
