  1. To be fair, if you’re claiming he’s said said that and he’s saying he hasn’t- we are going to need some proof.....
  2. I know he hasn’t played for ages, but I think people are forgetting how vital to us Bradley Dack is, he’s still the best player at the club. Therefore, he needs to start as soon as he is able to.
  3. If he adds more goals to his game, then yeah, we will recoup what we paid and then some, for sure. For now, I honestly think he’s playing with real confidence, that he seemed to really lack previously. Whoever has gotten into his head on the coaching staff to give him that belief needs a lot of credit. He’s doing much better and playing well right now and long may that continue.
  4. It took Brereton two years to start showing regular and consistent form. Which by the way, I’m delighted he has for the sake of the club and himself, as I’m sure it was playing on his mind too. The transfer fee was bound to lead fans to question the signing. As a club, if we are spending that amount, they need to be hitting the ground running right away, particularly when we have had regular complaints about FFP and not having funds elsewhere ever since....
  5. He’s assembled a good squad and been backed in the transfer market. He needs to deliver over the course of the season. Delivery= promotion.
  6. Hi- just to be clear, can we have less posts fishing for a response, I.e ‘this thread is definitely quieter after a win’. We’ve won, we don’t need point scoring thanks.
  7. Credit where it’s due for the lad today, that finish was exceptional for his goal. Glad he’s showing promise finally!
  8. To be honest, the club pundits will inevitably be biased, that’s certainly to be expected. Don’t think the Rovers ones are especially poor at all, just what I’d expect overall. Just glad we have any coverage at all in reality.
  9. Good win, decent enough performance, no real complaints tbh! Also, we’ve won- so we should have no reason to be insulting each other.
  10. Hi everyone- I had the audacity to go to bed around 10pm last night, so I’ve woken up to a lot of last night’s drama, but just to clarify, saying the following things isn’t alright- ‘I prefer to take the views of people who know what they are talking about’. ’If you don’t think this, then you’re deluded’. Basically, insults and inferring people are clueless isn’t alright and never has been. It’s easier to hide posts, rather than simply dishing out bans, which is something we seek to avoid. We understand that emotions run high after matches haven’t reached the conclusion we all wanted and people may need to let off steam, so we are more lenient than usual. Going forward, this leniency will end. As it appears to be a lot of the same perpetrators digging each other out, which is incredibly disappointing. So, going forward-if you can’t moderate your own behaviour, please don’t start complaining about mods being too harsh with banning, as you’ve had your fair warning now. In short, as ever- just stop it.
  11. Just a gentle reminder- can people stop making stuff up to suit their point and also stop trolling each other please? Nice one.
  12. Glad we kept a clean sheet tonight and glad we didn’t lose. Not so glad we had £12 Million worth of strikers on the pitch that couldn’t hit the onion bag though.
  13. Seeing a few comments about negativity on here, well, if losing over half of our games certainly makes me feel less optimistic! This is the kind of game where Mowbray pulls out a result tbh. Seen some very inflated numbers about 12 first teamers out! No way it’s that many on our injury list! After a quick Google- I’ve found 5 injuries, 3 isolating with Covid? This was from an article yesterday....
  14. Whilst we have suffered injuries, that is true, so has everyone else. We’ve also suffered five defeats from our opening nine games. That can’t only be attributed to injuries I’m afraid. If we want to get promoted, we need to tighten up in a big way.
  15. It’s the same old, same old. Individual errors, (interesting that this only seems to happen to us), players out of position, poor players starting (Hi Corry), a former centre half that can’t set up a defence, conceding too many goals. I think this is half of the reason I didn’t let myself get carried away with some resounding results, because I knew we were more than capable of reverting to type....
  16. ‘No lasting defensive or tactical concerns’. Yet we concede another two at the weekend...
  17. I don’t live there any more, but there’s a solid base in Hyndburn of Rovers fans. There are more Burnley than there used to be, but I think that’s just because they’re more vocal and fans have moved from Burnley and Pendle to a different borough, etc.
  18. I suppose the biggest irony in the comparison between Warnock and Mowbray is that Warnock used to be a winter, but Mowbray used to be a defender. One of those puts more stock in building from the back and it isn’t the ex centre back....
  19. Fell asleep really early last night and didn’t manage to catch any of the game. So, whilst I can’t comment on any events from said game, I can comment on the fact that if we keep conceding so many goals, we won’t be going anywhere. Very disappointing.
  20. There is no chance of us signing him, Liverpool know exactly how good he is. That being said, he is absolutely unreal and I’m just glad we’ve got him for the season. I didn’t even know what his strongest foot was until he took a free kick with his left. He’s so good with both of them. Such a talent.
