  1. I meant personally, don’t be so sensitive ?.
  2. To be fair, we don’t know any of these people from Adam, so they could well be posting duff information. As much as any of us might want these things to be true, there’s a chance they might not be....
  3. Do you not reckon promotion should trump all of those things though? It’s a big risk to get a rookie in over someone who’s been there, done that and obtained the t-shirt.... Again, just because the Bristol City board want something, doesn’t mean it’s the right or most logical thing....
  4. As that very famous reggae singer once said ‘you can’t please all the people all of the time’. Covid has affected every football club, not just ours. Lesser clubs have managed to get their act together, but we are just hanging about seemingly. If you think they’ve done enough, then fair one, but I think they could be doing more really.
  5. Disconnection with the supporter base, through a lack of engagement? From a purely financial point of view, it seems crazy that if you’ve got fans that are willing to pay money, why on earth wouldn’t the club want to take it?
  6. I suppose what I’m saying from a personal point of view is that I’d be willing to pay for a full season ticket (imagine crowds were allowed as normal), then use a streaming link while it is still behind closed doors. Then there could be tiers of what fans could choose- I.E a streaming one for now, or no streams and then when fans are allowed in, to be able to attend matches. (With different costs, obviously).
  7. I’ve no genuine sympathy for them on account of how their fans have been with us in the past, but they’ve every right to feel aggrieved with their deduction applying this season and Sheffield Wednesday’s being applied next....
  8. Missed opportunity for the club is this. I’d sign up for a season ticket tomorrow if it meant helping the club out, regardless of how many matches I was ultimately able to attend and many others are the same.
  9. Not good that the DW gyms have gone. I hadn’t actually managed to get to mine since I threatened to! I’ve just moved house, so I might try and find one nearer here....
  10. But if we’d spent less on transfer fees, then we could maybe make an allowance on the wages?
  11. Would be easier to compete if we hadn’t waxed £12 Million on Gallagher and Brereton....
  12. Has any of this criticism of JRC been really over the top? I can’t say I agree. I suppose it depends on interpretations of over the top.... But for me- over the top criticism would be posts like- ‘he’s useless’, he’ll never be a professional’ ‘he hasn’t shown any quality so far’. Etc, etc. I am happy to be corrected if I’m wrong, but I’ve seen none of the above attributed to JRC at all on here.
  13. He’s the biggest prick of all time, there’s legit no way I would have ever tuned in for this. Hope nobody else put themselves through it!
  14. Thought you were going to break into the Um Bongo rap then tbh....
  15. Before I post the below, let me just say, any inside information is greatly received, but as per the rules, please don’t wind people up about it. Just to clarify a few points, from a moderating point of view- this is what’s okay and what isn’t. Okay- ‘we are interested in this player, I know his family and we have held talks’. I’ll let you know once I hear more. Not okay- ‘I know this guy at the club and he’s told me this, but I’m sworn to secrecy’. Dangling carrots during silly season may be entertaining to you, but winding people up is classed as trolling and contravenes the rules. Best not to say anything at all, if you aren’t allowed to. Otherwise, threads are derailed and turn into slanging matches that have gone off topic.
  16. Whoever reported it, they did the right thing, so it came right to my attention! Anyhow, let’s get back to transfers!
  17. I’ve just logged on after nipping out for an hour and dealt with it now. Insults aren’t something we encourage either...
  18. Absolutely. There are many blurred lines in terms of national teams that I’m not really in favour of tbh.
  19. He’s got an Irish first name, but he was born and raised in England in fairness.... A number of players from NI play junior level for them, then switch to the ROI later on. They can’t have it both ways ?
  20. On my fourth golf lesson of five today, the pro asked ‘are you sure you’ve never played before?’. What a good lad.
  21. Where are they now? I know where we are. Back to square one, needing a keeper (probs 2) and more defenders again. Progress eh?
  22. I bet barely if any Wigan players live in Wigan tbh.
  23. In football, (and in many respects in anyone else’s professional life) you’re only loyal to yourself, it’s always been like that. I think it’s right as well tbh.
  24. I always find the comments criticising reading too much into what the manager says as a bit unusual. He’s touted as being an honourable and honest guy (which I think there is something in tbh), so with that in mind, why should people not believe what he says?
