  1. Rovers showed a replay of the 4-0 away win from years ago at Spurs the other day. Forgot about his volley that day, what a cracker!
  2. For anything like this, as old jam fan highlights, eBay is usually a good starting point. There’s also a site ‘classic football shirts’, that has a really good selection typically.
  3. Do what you want mate. Probs not worth spending too much time thinking about though.
  4. Likewise, you aren’t reading what anyone else is saying. But allow me to simplify- Health>football. I love football, but it can bloody well wait!
  5. He’s absolutely spot on. What (most) people are failing to realise is that health is miles more important than anything else. As a match going fan I’m missing football a lot, but it’s not right for it to return at the moment) for me until fans can be in stadiums),
  6. I definitely think Travis has all the qualities to be a cracking central midfielder. If he scores more frequently, I definitely think there will be some concrete interest in him sooner rather than later.
  7. Yeah, that’s him! I usually just have music on really, so I never have much time for it nowadays!
  8. They love their tried and tested ‘good cop, bad cop’ routine on there. Some of the presenters dangle whopping pieces of bait out there and people who can’t resist a nibble ring in and give the station revenue so they can continue with more of the same! Not for me like, but whatever floats people’s boats! It wouldn’t do for us all to be the same...
  9. Haha, there’s also Little Simz in Top Boy (female rapper, plays Shelley). If you use Spotify- I’ve a hip hop playlist that’s over 700 songs strong, with old and new music aplenty!
  10. The Wire is wonderful. Not many better series than that, in my opinion! Top Boy was absolutely class. A few rappers I like were in the new series as well! Fun fact about Top Boy actually- Drake tweeted Ashley Walters (one of the stars) asking when the new series was coming back, as he loved it. Ashley Walters said it had been cancelled, so Drake got together with Netflix to commission a second series....
  11. What a good memory you’ve got, Windy! Happy Birthday to you as well! Yep, 36 today! Still feeling 18, apart from the day after a big session on the ale....
  12. The bottom line for me is public health is much more important than ‘sporting integrity’ (money). End of.
  13. In your opinion. Could have just has easily said ‘it’s not for me’.
  14. Loved the first series, but wasn’t sure whether I’d want to watch it in lockdown, may send me under, haha.
  15. I’ve lost weight in lockdown and my house has never been cleaner or tidier! Slowly getting more bored though!
  16. Cool. But I was specifically referring to the part of Chaddy’s post. Knew I should have put that in bold...
  17. You’re right, it doesn’t. But then, Chaddy didn’t mention that and neither did I.....
  18. But the latter rely heavily on gate receipts. Which they won’t get if there are no fans allowed....
  19. I know that’s the plan, but it shouldn’t be. Football without fans is nothing. Anyhow, a lot of the players are scared for their own safety as has been emerging, who could blame them? It should be a return to normal, or not at all. In times of a crisis, people show their true colours and this is one such example. Money is gazumping the needs of the lifeblood of the game, which is wrong. Football family, eh?
  20. Absolutely, The Sun talking nonsense again. I’m missing football as much as anyone else, but it should only restart when it’s safe to do so for players, staff and fans. This health crisis trumps football and it can bloody well wait! As an aside, I always find it a little odd when links from that rag are shared on a forum, with their previous!
  21. Behind closed doors football is an absolutely pathetic idea, especially abroad IMO. Get it finished over here, in front of stadiums with fans, or just null and void it, if that’s not possible. Just proves that money is more important than the supporters, as if there was any doubt! Also, re the Preston comments- I think that relates to their manager saying that clubs who have furloughed staff, therefore saving money, shouldn’t then be allowed to smash loads of transfer fees when the season restarts. Seems fair enough to me tbh.
  22. Almost like you could have not opened this thread and cracked on with something you find more interesting....
  23. That’s absolutely excellent news and I’m sure everyone on the forum is with me in wishing you a speedy recovery!
