  1. Sort of fell out of love with football for a bit in my late teens (I had to get up to play at 9am on a Sunday and I loved a beer) having played regularly up to then. Quickly got my head straight and got back at it, I still play a lot (when we are allowed). In terms of people I’ve played with or against that have turned pro- played against Keith Barker (once of our academy, now playing cricket), Richard Chaplow, the ex Burnley academy product and I’ve played against Mark Patterson on the Soccer Dome. This was a few years back and he’s still unreal. Doesn’t even have to move and he runs the show. More recently, I played against Brett Ormerod at Hyndburn Sports Centre. He only played a half and that was all he needed. You just can’t get near him!

  3. Just checked our GD, joint best in the league, along with Bournemouth. Could be a very handy trick up our sleeve, if we maintain it, come the end of the season!
  4. People have their opinions, even if I don’t agree with them. For what it’s worth, I never completely wrote him off at any point and more hoped he came good based on what he showed prior to this season, than expected him to tbh. That said, I was definitely concerned we’d spent a lot of money (for us) on a player that wasn’t contributing like I would have expected for such a fee. I’m happy to eat my words and enjoying the feed, words never tasted so good!
  5. Like everyone else that had their doubts, I’m delighted that Brereton is playing well and really contributing to the team now. Long may it continue! However, I don’t think anyone could be blamed for questioning how much we spent on someone that essentially took two years to get going in all honesty! He’s playing well now and rather than focussing on what someone said ages ago, maybe it would be a better idea to enjoy one of our players playing really well? After all, if Brereton does well, it benefits everyone at the club and associated with it! (I.E fans).
  6. Can’t fault tonight’s performance at all, it was a massacre, if I’m being honest. PNE were appalling. £10 very well spent. Lovely.

  8. We’ve been very good tonight, to be fair. Glad we are smashing them. Actually let out a laugh after Dolan bagged.
  9. Whilst I understand the need to rest players like Elliott, on account of his age, if Gallagher is on the wing and we have actual wingers on the bench, it is still frustrating!
  10. Ah yeah, so they did! No excuses then!!
  11. We certainly owe this lot one after them having a real hoodoo over us the last few years. They haven’t won at home all season either, I think we know how these things usually play out.... Come on Rovers, prove me wrong!
  12. If Bell plays, we will concede anyway, he’s an absolute liability and has been for pretty much the whole time he’s been here....
  13. I suppose what I was getting at, was that after going down 1-0, we didn’t end up losing. I agree that we should be aiming to beat Luton Town in any era!
  14. Don’t want us to lose any game tbh ?‍♂️.
  15. Strange one today. Before that goal we conceded, we were holding our own and it looked like it was going for a 0-0 all day long. Then, we elect not to stop a cross for some reason, then the crosser falls over while crossing, which I didn’t think could possibly lead to a goal, sadly, it did. Fair play to the lads for getting right back into it not long after though. Some horrendous refereeing at the death and I’m not surprised Brereton got in the ref’s face, that decision to book him for diving was an absolute disgrace. Frustrating overall, just glad we didn’t lose!
  16. Love it when we put a challenge in and stop the cross...(he was falling over when crossing it in FFS!)
  17. Knew there was a reason we were pals. What a bag of shite they are!
  18. I want a PS5, but there aren’t really any games out for it yet. I’ll probably wait until after Christmas.Trying to market GTA V as a PS5 is a bit of a joke too. That originally came out on PS3!!
  19. Armstrong Dack Kaminski Travis Holtby
  20. The best it could possibly get for Venky’s for me (and I suspect anyone else like me), is if they get us promoted, apologise and sell up. Anything else and I can’t overlook what they’ve done I’m afraid.
  21. I think the ‘illegal streams’ thing is a bit of a red herring tbh. I can’t imagine there’s much demand for Rovers matches illegally! Due to job uncertainty, I’ve not bought a season ticket this time around and just bought streams game by game. It’s been alright so far, but it’s no substitute for the real thing, obviously!
  22. Club owners that have done the absolute minimum expected of them, after completely ruining things for years after listening to the wrong people time and again, then being too stubborn to change their ways or admit they were ever wrong. Yep, sounds like that’s who we should be grateful to....
  23. In mine and I imagine that of many others. It doesn’t even have to be an opinion, as to be fair, his numbers don’t lie, to ignore them is a different take, I’ll give you that! I probably wouldn’t have him as captain either, but I’m not in charge.... Sounds like you’ve made up your mind on him, but I recall him getting us out of jail at the last WC on more than one occasion.
  24. I agree with you about Grealish, I think he was one of the only players to emerge with any credit last night. But Kane and Chilwell are by far our best options in their positions. There are hardly any better strikers than Kane about on the planet. I think you’ve got that assessment badly wrong tbh.
  25. That’s not my job, is it? I’m only a fan. I’m suggesting he’s stagnated, he needs to get his act together and stop playing so conservatively. This isn’t just about this game. He can’t live off a World Cup semi final forever if we are awful now and showing few signs of improvement or evolving as a team.
