  1. I would absolutely love it if this was the case. I have no idea why he is continually mentioned on here, but I’d be into it if he wasn’t. Motion carried. Any mention of that fat whopper and you’ll get fotty eight hours in the sin bin. Sithi.
  2. Probably guesswork from that guy that is absolutely well out of the loop.
  3. Isn’t that exactly what JH is arguing, yet Mowbray has confirmed the exact opposite?
  4. He’s the biggest whopper of all time is that guy.
  5. Yeah, but we will lose out on sponsorship cash.
  6. There were conflicting reports re the budget on here- we had two seasoned posters saying we didn’t have a pot to whizz in, then we had another saying there were no issues. As ever, one of them would be wrong, but one of the posters says the same every year, so I took their warning with a pinch of salt.
  7. The atmosphere at all grounds is sanitised nowadays. I don’t buy this myth about a Newcastle atmosphere being better than anywhere else, as I don’t believe it is and I’m surprised you do tbh. A media friendly club that haven’t had it half as bad as has been portrayed.
  8. Must admit, I don’t think £6 is a lot for a stream of a match. A ticket to the actual game would be roughly £10, but obviously that’s not an option at the moment, so it’s certainly better than nothing! That being said, I’ll probably not bother watching it, but it won’t be because of the price!
  9. You get a load of free articles a month (think it may be thirty), then you have to start paying.
  10. £4.99 a month for a good newspaper is about par for the course. So, yeah, it is steep.
  11. I’ve got a brick near there, will be fuming if it isn’t jet washed by the start of the season tbh.
  12. Already has, on Brereton and Gallagher.
  13. We didn’t have to, because our keeper made plenty of gaffes post lockdown that meant we weren’t in contention.
  14. How do you contend that? He got loan players in who have returned to their parents clubs that were temporary measures. He spent £12 Million on two players that haven’t scored enough and now we apparently have no money. Who else is to blame for the money he spent and the decisions he alone made in the transfer market?
  15. You say this every year, so I suspect you’ll be right eventually......
  16. And if he has to sell those two, the money he has spent on Gallagher and Brereton had better start bearing fruit, as they probably won’t fetch fees well in excess of their purchase price....
  17. It’s why many people were getting frustrated at the prospect of a ‘slow build’ as we could see this was coming....
  18. As a neutral, I’d want to see the best players on the pitch at the same time. It just so happens they all play for PSG and Bayern, so that’s the final right there that I’d want!
  19. Gallagher and Brereton had better get really good really fast then....
  20. I love it when people go OTT in their perception of what constitutes OTT criticism. Examples or it never happened.....
  21. This is the nail on the head and certainly something I’d be willing to fork out for. Think of it as me at my most philanthropic. Still baffles me that Rovers have the opportunity to get cash in from fans and they’re sitting on their hands.
  22. Yet when fans said that on here, you advised people ‘Mowbray has his way of playing and we should accept it’....
  23. Literally nobody has said that. People wanted Walton to be able to catch a ball, imagine that. The only references to our old goalkeepers that I can recall are people being nostalgic....
  24. It’s pretty gut wrenching if we weren’t even in for Marshall and he goes elsewhere. Exactly what we need. I’m not confident we will find a more suitable keeper for this level....
  25. I can’t go to the games, I can’t drink cheap Heineken in the Working Men’s before hand either, so I’m really indifferent towards it so far.... Even if we had a few signings, a new kit, season tickets on sale- I would still be the same. COVID has sapped my enthusiasm for a lot of things that we have to have ‘diet’ versions of.
