  1. Can I query why, re point two? He looked a spent force long before we got shut of him and he couldn’t run a bath!
  2. Re point 3- and who’s fault is that? No manager in this league could really complain at the backing Mowbray has received....
  3. I can’t say I agree, I think they’ve been very consistent tbh! Consider this- we have spent £12 Million on strikers that don’t score enough. We are then told there are no funds for a January transfer fund. Concerns are also expressed about FFP compliance. Our main source of goals is out for ages. He said the target for the season is 70 points, do you think we will reach that target? Honest question, if we think things aren’t right now, why wait for a change?
  4. To be fair, Brereton did once last season...
  5. You’ve ignored my point. We are talking about a manager for the football club, not someone to go for a pint with. He might well be a prick, but he’s got a track record of winning football matches and gaining promotion from this division.
  6. FFP considerations we have to make, because Mowbray spent £12 Million on two strikers that don’t score £12 Million worth of goals. One of whom, we apparently aren’t allowed to judge yet....
  7. Could not agree more re the pint thing. It’s almost like they don’t expect loads of people to buy stuff at half time.... The last two home games in JW upper, they have run out of pies before half time!
  8. Mowbray bi-polar- @OnePhilT I like that! I want him to do well, I really do. But then he frustrates the hell out of me with the decisions he makes ?.
  9. If we need to grow matchday revenue, then we need to think of things to entice the fans, rather than put up obstacles.... (match day surcharge, ticket price vs SWFC, price of pies/booze, I could go on).
  10. Lads/lasses- I know we will all be hyped for new year’s eve tonight, but can we simmer down and be a bit nicer to each other, please? Thanks.
  11. Clearly people posting on here, that asked the question....
  12. We always get this close to the play offs and blow it though, so it’s all relative.
  13. Just read that Huddersfield came from behind to beat us for the first time in 2 and a half years. Good old Rovers, helping teams get out of slumps. It’s the season of giving, I suppose....
  14. But he wins football matches at this level. Craig Bellamy and Robbie Savage were the same, but they were great for us! It’s a manager we need, not a saint.
  15. I can’t see anything other than a defeat here, unfortunately. Obviously, I’d love the lads to prove me wrong, though!!
  16. I’ve got a bad feeling that this season’s January will mirror last season’s. Being close to the play offs, not strengthening, going on a horrific run, etc. Glad we’ve got our next home game against PNE though. Sure our lads have the fire in their bellies to finally beat them again..... Come on lads, prove me wrong, please!!
  17. Rhian Brewster looks like he’s on his way to Swansea on loan. Think we should have been all over that tbh.
  18. It’s not just that though, is it? In league one, we could get away with playing well for part of a game, due to the quality of the opposition. The problem in a league higher is that we can’t get away with it, for the same reason. You’d think the manager would notice this...
  19. I never said it was a top 6 squad? Spending £12 Million on two strikers, one of which we aren’t allowed to judge yet will be his undoing. Especially after saying defenders were coming and not signing nearly enough. Of course it counts, but the fact is, being however close to the play offs is irrelevant, as we won’t make them.
  20. The problem is, there needs to be criticism allowed of the manager, he’s not infallible. If you play players out of position as often as he does, then you put yourself up there to be shot at. The being close to the playoffs thing is irrelevant to me. Even if we are as close as that, we have a bad habit of fluffing it when we get that close. I obviously hope the players prove me wrong and end up there though!
  21. Seen a load on the Facebook page criticising folk for not being proper supporters..... Mowbray is very well shielded from above and from within. There really are some that cannot handle any criticism of him whatsoever.
