  1. I actually managed to listen to this one and found it a great insight. Some very funny stories and anecdotes included as well. A very well done to all involved!
  2. Apathy reigns supreme tbh. I have zero expectations and never let myself get carried away with the hysteria of ‘x number of points outside the playoffs’, as let’s be honest, we never make it into them. I will probably renew just for the social aspect with seeing mates.
  3. 70 points was his target, which he missed. This total would have made the playoffs to boot. Will he be held accountable for this? No.
  4. This passing game talk and improved possession is all well and good, if it yields better results. Which it hasn’t.
  5. The OP has completely lost credibility when they called people that disagreed with him ‘delusional Mowbrayites’.
  6. He’s been crucified for that already, as he’s bottled it far more times than that over the course of the season. Yet, Brentford can still be promoted via the play offs, so I’m not too sure what you are trying to argue here.
  7. They only had the chance to get into 2nd once, which they bottled. We bottled it numerous times over the season, in fact every time we got close. But, I suspect you know this already. However, I’m happy to remind you.
  8. Brentford that are 3rd? That’s quite a stretch.
  9. I can now say with certainty- I’ve recently varnished some old scaffolding boards to make into shelves at home. Watching them dry (it only took twenty minutes, what an age we live in), was more fun than watching us bottle it since the end of lockdown.
  10. What’s to discuss? Mowbray plays people out of position all the time. He shows as much passion on the sidelines as a lot of men do for going shopping with their wives. Chapman shows what Mowbray has been challenging him to show for months, then he brings fucking Bennett on instead. It’s obviously not a meritocracy. Just go away Tony.
  11. Nice of us to show some fight tbh.
  12. Also, was all that about Davenport hot air? No idea why he isn’t playing tonight. If ever there was a game to give the bloke a start, it would be tonight!
  13. Nah, he’s a winger. But our Tony will have him at right back instead of Nyambe if he is signed.
  14. He got a short ban for something in this thread, but then a much longer one for something he said in a different thread.
  15. Your boy that was winding everyone up has had a long ban though, so it could be worse.....
  16. I have some sympathy with them for the way the EFL has shafted them. But then, I remember the way they were happy to dance on our grave, so they can go bust for all I care.....
  17. I definitely think there will be some truth in an attitude problem, re Chapman tbh. With that being said, I’ll bet it’s tough to be motivated knowing that Gallagher and Bennett can have stinkers every week and it be less likely they will be dropped. Mowbray signed Chapman, so if he isn’t up to scratch, it also looks bad on the manager. (As well as obviously not showing Chapman in the best light either).
  18. I suppose we will never know, but the fact that Bennett and Gallagher have nightmares on the pitch (albeit out of position much of the time) show that this theory doesn’t really stack up. Unless what happens on the training pitch is more important than what happens on the actual pitch where points can be won....
  19. Come on Chaddy, can we go a bit deeper than that please?
  20. Whilst I agree that they should command greater fees than those, it’s not necessarily just about what someone is willing to pay, as much as it’s about what Venky’s are willing to accept....
  21. That Coventry link will be some throbber looking for a bite while they aren’t at school. It’s not worth the time of day.
  22. They walked away from a comfortable situation at Lincoln for a bigger challenge, which they aced and were still dismissed. So absolutely they would be keen!
  23. That’s how you motivate....
  24. I googled Bamford’s wages just then. £1.8 Million a year. So, hypothetically could have bought him, not bought Gallagher and had £3 Million in change.... (I know it doesn’t work like that!)
  25. Did you miss the signings of Brereton and Gallagher and their costs? Spoiler alert, they weren’t free....
