  1. Without wanting to take this off topic too much, footballers should definitely agree to a pay cut whilst not playing, but.... The 3,500 highest paid footballers in the UK earn £2.9bn per year collectively. The 3,500 highest paid bankers in the UK earn £8.75bn per year collectively. Still not seeing the same outrage for the bankers.
  2. Nice shirt that one, I’d forgotten about it!
  3. A guy (Julian Knight) who wrote a book on tax evasion wants to lecture people on morality. Delicious. I think that clubs furloughing their staff and getting assistance from the government is a disgrace though. I’m not sure the players can necessarily be blamed for this, it’s the owners and the money men. I don’t believe there would be many players that objected to having a wage reduction to enable non playing staff to be paid.....
  4. I really have ?. It’s lockdown mate, anything goes, just not him with his chest out!
  5. I’d rather brush my teeth with barbed wire than see any of their faces more often than I have to. Chris Moyles is only very slightly the best of a bad bunch from those for me....
  6. Is this true or are you speculating? If it’s the latter, please can you make it clear, as we don’t want the site getting in any bother from a legal perspective. Ta.
  7. Whatever Harry Kane is on, probably similar. Don’t think he’d be on Messi/Ronaldo money, but he’d be a much richer man!
  8. Lockdown is hard enough without seeing that whopper’s face. Come on Silas mate!
  9. Pretty much this. Not his fault he was picked, but he really wasn’t very good at all. I remember him in a game vs Chelsea at home where he legit ducked out of a challenge, which flew in the face of people saying he always gave his all for me. I think some took pity on him and attempted to rewrite history as he copped a lot of flak for the above, but he was a poor player playing above his level tbh.
  10. Not permanently, but for a bit certainly.
  11. He found comfort in food by the looks of things.
  12. I agree, the relevant action has been taken.
  13. Absolutely. It was set over 100 years ago and they wanted it to look authentic ?.
  14. Wholeheartedly agree. What makes it the worst is that the truck driver that he collided with subsequently committed suicide himself.
  15. Apart from that time he attempted suicide....
  16. To be fair, Lee Makel’s Mum might want a souvenir....
  17. Thought this would be on the agenda. Especially given Leeds and Brum have done something similar already.
  18. The book The Damned United and subsequent film were just brilliant. Martin Sheen absolutely nails the likeness of Clough in that.
  19. Shearer at the start here was absolutely incredible. You won’t see many better than that, incarnation of Shearer, ever. He was an absolute joy to watch, even if I was only a nipper at the time.
  20. I’m not usually the autocratic moderating type, but if anyone includes Barry Ferguson, you can expect to cop a ban.....
