It’s so frustrating, as we all know the defence is awful and so does the manager and yet he still doesn’t help himself with team selections. Joe Rothwell not starting again was unbelievable. What more does he have to do?

We shipped absolutely loads of goals last season, so our defenders obviously aren’t good enough. Mowbray acknowledged this by advising us that defenders are coming, but apparently now they might not be? I know some don’t think we should hang on his every word as they put it, but for goodness’ sake, how can he not see our defence is so appalling and needs additions?

If they were, I’m not bothered tbh. A few pints on one of the hottest days of all time won’t kill them, especially as we’ve no game in the morning. If they were bouncing around like bunnies, then getting off their nuts in someone’s kitchen, chatting nonsense until 6am, then perhaps that would be detrimental....

You’re over complicating things again lad. Very frustrating. We needed defenders more than we needed to sign Sam Gallagher. If we go into the season with Mulgrew at centre half again, we will concede loads of goals. Our own manager said ‘defenders are coming’. If, now they aren’t, then the concession of goals will be coming a lot again....
