  1. I’m not saying he’s lying, quite the opposite as I have met him and he was with an ex Rover then, but you don’t know him from Adam. He could literally be anyone, just claiming these things online. Very trusting....
  2. As others have rightly observed above, the acid test is next week, against a team going well this season, above us in the league, occupying the space we want to be in. If this was last season, I can say with certainty we’d have bottled it. Whilst I’m not getting carried away with anything, I do feel a lot better about this kind of fixture this season....
  3. Morning all, whilst we should be basking in the glow of an amazing away win, some are still more concerned with scoring points, instead of celebrating the three that we won yesterday? Please can we stop? The extra admin is annoying, especially first thing on a Sunday morning. Thanks.
  4. I get why people are worried about that, but it just seems a bit defeatist and lacking in ambition....
  5. Who’s moaning, and about what?
  6. Why would that ever happen?
  7. Dependent on price, for me. If we’ve not got a pot to whizz in and he’s available for a pittance, then at least we know what we’re getting....
  8. Dack has consistently been our leading scorer since arriving. He’s our talisman and our best player, we build the team around him. Whilst it’s very welcome for Armstrong to show this complete upturn in form, he needs to match Dack for goals before he’s talked about in the same terms, for me.
  9. Steady on. He’s improved a hell of a lot, which is especially handy as Dack is out, but he’s a long way to go to reach that level.
  10. Take your own advice mate, you’ve had a shocker!
  11. Just do the unthinkable, admit you were wrong, log off and go to bed mate. I’ve just come back in from the match, catching up and I feel bad for how much you’ve embarrassed yourself. Whilst it’s admirable that you want to dig in and defend your honour, we all make mistakes! It wouldn’t hurt to admit yours....
  12. I’m probably viewed as being on the negative side, but you’re wrong here. We are well worthy of a 3-0 win and as a Rovers fan, I’m loving us winning any match by such a score line. Crazy, I know!
  13. He only seems to score bangers, which are always a joy to behold. A while ago it seemed like we never scored from outside the box, so it’s refreshing to see that change!
  14. If I saw Sam Gallagher playing terribly, out of position, in my position, every week, no matter what, I’d probably have a bad attitude too....
  15. I wouldn’t worry about that, various steps have been made to prevent a repeat.....
  16. I’d be miles more into it if they brought back Dropkick Murphy’s version of ‘wild rover’ prior to kick off these days rather than that one currently in use....
  17. @roversfan99 @chaddyrovers Any danger of you two leaving each other alone for a bit?
  18. And it shows ?.
  19. If you can’t handle different opinions, don’t log on then, lad? ?‍♂️
  20. Re FFP- aren’t you forgetting that we spent £12 Million on two strikers- one that plays on the wing (despite us having actual wingers at the club) and another that barely gets 5 minutes at a time? Stoke have spent the most in the league and they’re only just outside the relegation zone. PNE have barely spent anything and they’re in the top 6. Perspective indeed.
  21. I suspect that as it’s 16 years ago now, they probably don’t care any more.
  22. The team that should play and the team that will play are two different things. For example, anyone with two working eyes knows that Sam Gallagher our wide is wrong, but it won’t stop him being selected there. I think where that is concerned I’m at the ‘acceptance’ stage of grief.
  23. Because Chaddy, it’s absolutely galling to hear our manager and board refer to FFP concerns when they are only a concern because of those transfers. It takes some front for Mowbray to sit there knowing that. I’m sure you repeat yourself regularly (as we all do) but people leave you to it. If you don’t like it, just keep scrolling and don’t respond?
  24. People will talk about it as even if he has taken a pay cut, he’s likely to be one of our highest earners and he’s not earning his money. Whilst it isn’t his fault he’s largely being played out of position, he has failed miserably overall and is a big contributor to why we have such FFP concerns.
  25. To be fair, as other teams have done, we could have spent less money on players that would have made more of an impact and given them more wages....
