  1. He seems like that guy at Portsmouth who blatantly didn't have the readies to take over, but did anyway. I suppose the only thing you can say in Ken Anderson's favour is that he is actively trying to sell the club..... Quite how they've escaped a points deduction is beyond me. It all makes a mockery of the 'fit and proper' person's test. They seem to owe money all over the gaff. The alarm bells should have been ringing when they sold their training ground and land around the stadium for car parking really!
  2. The Chelsea thing people have touched on is an absolute disgrace. I'm absolutely convinced they're only playing Hudson-Odoi (who looks to be absolute dynamite) because there's been a bit of hype about him and Bayern Munich have allegedly shown an interest.
  3. Bigger question is what you've been doing to be on 9% battery by lunch time.....
  4. I don't know why Venky's couldn't be bothered to respect the Jack Walker legacy, but it is what it is.... Anyhow, during the week- people work away/work until late/work out of town/work shifts/can't get down to the ground in time etc. Everyone's circumstances are completely different, not everybody lives within spitting distance of Ewood, works locally and finishes in time......
  5. 100% right. Sadly, people fall for it every single time. Very frustrating.
  6. I took a dig at Brereton? Swing and a miss there, I'm afraid! I'd have mentioned him by name if I were having a dig at him! I've been incredibly fair on Brereton so far and am giving him loads of time, so if you want to start querying people's stances on him, I'd suggest a different target.....
  7. If it's on TV, even if it's cheap, there won't be loads on, I guarantee it. I'm a season ticket holder and if it's on TV midweek, I'd think twice about going (as much as I'm the first to admit that there's no substitute for being there).
  8. I just think that people are being way too harsh about players who've barely been given a chance, but still contributed. Not saying the lad is a world beater by any stretch of the imagination, but I think we could have used him better.
  9. Being honest, I think the Chelsea thing isn't something I take too much into consideration. Particularly when you consider they still have absolutely loads of players under contract that will never end up in the first team. For example, Todd Kane, formerly of this parish is still under contract there and on about his 10th loan......
  10. 1 goal in the league and 2 in the league cup. More than many others in the squad.....
  11. He's really not, we just haven't used him right, or enough. 1 goal in the league and 2 in the league cup. He's chipped in with more goals than some I could mention....
  12. I'll give this a listen at some point! I actually saw him at an Ocean Colour Scene gig at Manchester Apollo a few years ago. He's incredibly tall in person!
  13. Disappointed with how the Palmer thing has transpired tbh. Think he could have contributed more for sure, but he also probably hasn't been used correctly/enough in the main. I suppose it doesn't detract from the fact that we need to sign proper wingers to enable us to play Reed in his best position. I suppose that's wishful thinking though....
  14. (To be fair, I think you’ve already posted them all ?) The Internet- Special Affair
  15. I don’t know, I’d say it suits him perfectly! The team is built around him and the amount of goals he’s scored would say he’s fairly well suited to it!!
  16. Honestly can’t remember seeing him play for us tbh. Although I obviously have. I’d like it if it worked out for him with us, but I can’t see it....
  17. Apparently as well, the lad Doidge had just bought a house in the Bolton area..... That Ken Anderson lad really is the pits!
  18. Forest Green Rovers chairman comments below. Copied and pasted from Facebook... From Monday morning, Christian Doidge is back with FGR. We've taken the decision to recall him after his loan agreement expired last week amid continual contractual breaches by Bolton Wanderers. It became clear to us that Bolton entered into a contract to loan and then buy Christian last August without the means to honour it, and perhaps the intention to do so as well. They haven't even paid his wages for the last four months (we have). It's not just FGR that have been let down badly by Bolton, but Christian too. Bolton's Chairman, Ken Anderson, made a lot of promises on the last day of the transfer window, both to Christian and FGR, and has kept none of them. This is all his work and from talking to Ken he feels immune from the consequences - but some of these promises are written in legally binding contracts, and we'll be pursuing them. When the dust settles, we'll talk to the EFL about how they regulate clubs like Bolton. They already regulate the club to a degree, controlling all TV monies to make sure that football debts get paid. Hard not to wonder whether the league could also have a role in approving the terms of any contracts entered into - to make sure that they are actually within the means of the club. We had no way to know, but the EFL should have the inside view on that. And finally (for now...) - Disappointing as it is to see this go pear shaped, both for FGR and Christian, I'm also excited by the prospect of the second half of the season with Christian back with us. I'm sure all FGR fans everywhere will join me in welcoming him back ?
  19. He was much better against WBA as well. Hopefully the tide is turning with him!
