Though it’s en vogue to criticise Foden at the minute, whilst he was poor in the first game, I don’t think he’s been anywhere near as bad as others since. He seems to be actually improving (though granted, still not at his City form). Saka been poor, Bellingham the same since the first game as well. Barely any of them emerging with any credit at the minute. Think Trippier’s race is run with England too. If Kane stopped trying to be prime Xavi and just got in the box, it would help as well….

I think we were better tbh, but it’s a pretty low bar.

Watkins seems to bring the best out of our quick players, rather than adjusting our game for Kane’s benefit, when he’s well slow and drops too deep.

Foden seems to be the one to slag off at minute, but at least he’s had a shot or two. Some of them have barely been involved. Kane playing far too deep on the whole, so many others just seem a bit clueless tbh. Very poor indeed in that half.

Easy to blame individual players. Don’t honestly think anyone has excelled. Walker was superb for the goal, his graft got us in that position.

I really don’t like this re writing of history that people are unreasonable to criticise the litany of mistakes Pears made, because he played well at Elland Road. Check how many mistakes he made over the course of this season and his Rovers career to date. Aware Wahlstedt has made mistakes as well, in an ideal world, we’d have neither and we’d have a keeper who didn’t make tons of mistakes that cost us points.
