I’m convinced there’s no club like ours where fans are determined to blame others, even at the expense of reality. The overwhelming majority of fans in the ground went over the top with their support of BBD as they could see he needed encouragement. A few grumbles at mistakes don’t equate to ‘putting pressure on him at home’.

Season ticket sales have improved, but they still could and should be better. It’s not that difficult.

For the sake of the club, I hope Vale does prove everyone wrong, but he’s not shown a right lot in what I’ve seen of him so far, certainly not enough to warrant a new (and presumably improved) deal.

That Patrick Roberts looked absolutely class for Sunderland, as a few other posters have mentioned. Even though they were all over us towards the end though, I don’t feel like they had that many clear cut chances in reality.

What I find the most bizarre about Dack not being picked to start is that JDT played in the same position as him as a player!
