  1. Is making your feelings known about a poor performance any more embarrassing than saying it’s embarrassing on an internet message board? The fans get behind the players, that’s a given. The players also need to give the fans something to get behind. I swear down, we must have the largest self-hating fan base in the world….
  2. He’s not a bad player, but it was a bit naive to expect him to be able to cope with Real Madrid’s midfield tbf. Kante seemed to provide most of their attacking threat yesterday… Saying they were 2 nil down on aggregate was interesting that they’d play Gallagher, Kante and Enzo Fernandez in the middle of the park….
  3. Frank Lampard tonight thought they could go up against Real Madrid with Conor Gallagher against Luka Modric. Cracking manager…..
  4. Footballers are doing a job, I can’t blame any of them for jumping ship for more cash, I’d definitely do the same. It’s only the same as any of us getting a pay rise for doing well in our jobs to be fair. Once you take the emotion out of it, I find it miles easier to empathise with.
  5. JW Upper was £57.50 a month over 8 months this season.
  6. Saw him at a charity match at Ribchester not too long ago, he’s definitely enjoying retirement…
  7. That’s not what I’m saying, but at least that wouldn’t have meant another asset leaving for nothing for the second consecutive season.
  8. If you’re going down that route, it seems to imply that the experts can’t be questioned and are always right. This just isn’t the case, Owen Coyle was in the hot seat once and he’s as far from an expert as it’s possible to be….
  9. Still more than zero.
  10. I suspect more will be positive when the team show some positive attacking intent and not this mindless possession for possession’s sake. It’s a turgid watch at the minute.
  11. Money, more minutes on the pitch (whether that’s at Palace or a Championship loan). It’s clear as day he should be starting over Morton. He might well be feeling annoyed about his lack of minutes and he’s not the only one.
  12. What a big concern is aside from the possession for possession’s sake, is that the movement is non-existent and there’s never an option to pass to. I guess that’s a self-fulfilling prophecy, it it’s a really tough watch. It’s almost like our players have forgotten what areas of the pitch they’re supposed to occupy!
  13. I just don’t get why we won’t shoot. I know we’re awful, but Christ, no shots, no goals etc. Has anyone told JDT or any of our players that goals win matches?
  14. They’re so bad, they’re pretty much asking us to get at them, every time we win the ball. What do we do? 3/5 of fuck all? This is well shit.
  15. There’s nothing really. A lot of possession, but no threat whatsoever. There are never any options on to pass to, I’ve seen more movement in a morgue. Really poor all around tbh.
  16. ‘You can’t park there, mate’.
  17. I think this Saturday’s match will be the penultimate one for me. I’m working away next week (funnily enough really near Coventry), so I miss that home game, then Burnley is obviously a Tuesday night.
  18. Whilst I get that the money we receive from TV is important, it isn’t half frustrating to have a Saturday night match this week. I’ll probably just get one regardless, as it’s just what I do. There will be others less tolerant than me that will definitely think ‘what’s the point of a season ticket if half the games are on TV?
  19. Madrid just turn up when it matters, that’s the concern for City. Modric and Kroos both play like they’re still 21, yet they’re still well into their thirties.
  20. 90th minute goal and coming back from 2 down. Two things you don’t associate with us this season!
  21. That would involve showing some spirit, don’t think our lads can be assed tbh.
  22. There’s no point mentioning possession, we know we will always have more of it, but never actually score. It just makes you wonder what the point of it all is.
  23. All our goals seem to come from our own mistakes. It’s very rarely a magnificent piece of football from the opposition. The opposition don’t even need to beat us, we’ll beat ourselves. Because we’re nice like that.
  24. As soon as I saw there was a sold out away end, I knew that the players wouldn’t turn up, even though the fans have. No spine, no fight, no effort, just absolutely nothing.
  25. Can’t you? It’s not an isolated incident this season, to be fair…
