  1. Is Davenport still a thing? Or is he injured? Totally forgot about him until just now! Or is he still the original Hedges? (I.E a player Mowbray words hard for ages to sign, then never picks).
  2. Taking football out of the equation for a minute… If someone could get paid much more than they currently earn and wouldn’t even have to move house, just go somewhere else to work every day, they’d be insane to turn that down.
  3. It’s not ideal, but to be fair, people are quite rightly very irritated that we were second and comfortable, now we are outside the play offs, on a wretched run and couldn’t buy a win.
  4. Very sassy! As much as Steve Waggott is present at the meetings, I don’t think he would take my managerial suggestions on board somehow! We will never know unless we ask. He might feel embittered at how he has been treated and want to get one over on them, who knows? Could you imagine Dyche leading us out against Burnley next season and coming out on top? I imagine we would all like that!
  5. I don’t know if he’s a realistic candidate or not, but we should be looking at someone like him if we have ambitions of promotion!
  6. I’ve no idea to be honest, just quoting what he said. My money’s on Broad. The only real candidate that springs to mind! Would be one hell of a return for him if that did happen!
  7. I think Stokes is on record saying he doesn’t want the captaincy. Plus, I think given his personal struggles over the last year, it would be unfair to ask it of him too.
  8. I’ve seen him knocking about in Whalley and Clitheroe a bit, think him and Ian Woan Shared a flat somewhere nearby.
  9. He kept Burnley punching above their weight for years. There are barely any better candidates knocking about. Don’t you remember the season they went up and beat us twice? He would be the ideal Championship manager and won’t be out of work long.
  10. Not surprised by the sacking? He’s been there ten years and completely transformed the club. There haven’t been any whispers or rumours about it at all.
  11. Insanity from their board. As we know, sacking a manager is the easy part, the right replacement is the tough bit. It might end up being a master stroke, but I also think he was the reason things were going so well for them….
  12. We still need to keep him in the side though, nobody else can get any runs! There’s not exactly a long list of candidates to replace Root as captain either!
  13. Atlético Madrid are an absolute disgrace. They were determined to make the beautiful game a very ugly one tonight.
  14. I’ve parked at Infirmary Street, since Bryan Street WMC started charging . Touching Wood, as I know it isn’t the best up there, I’ve had no issues to date….
  15. I saw him at the Eagle at Barrow a few months back. He looked well enough, think he’s doing an apprenticeship and playing for Chorley part time….
  16. Elliott was quite a bit better than okay in that first half of the season….
  17. Burnley’s hopes and dreams being crushed, inject it into my veins.
  18. Sure it’s been mentioned and I’ve not seen it, so apologies if so. But, what was that announcer smoking when he announced the goal scorer as BBD and not Gallagher? Absolutely amateur hour.
  19. As rubbish as Mercer’s pre match tip today. Utterly pathetic.
  20. Against Wigan, we played about as well as I expected tbh. We absolutely never win there and just bottled it. (Not the first or last time, either).
  21. Post unhidden, on reflection. We can’t win with that particular poster. We protect him, it’s apparently pathetic, we let it all slide, then we allow bullies to run wild apparently.
