  1. They do it every year, I can’t believe people get excited about them going down, they always scrape it out it at the last minute….
  2. So the real problem is the fans and not Venky’s? Right then.
  3. Local(ish) derby, Blackpool rarely win away, I think we know how this one plays out.
  4. If the players can get more money elsewhere, I wouldn’t blame them tbh. It’s a short career. The example I always use is- if any of us were offered more money to do the same job somewhere, you’d take it. They won’t even have to move house in some cases….
  5. Just because the owners are awful, doesn’t mean Mowbray doesn’t have it in his locker to be awful too….
  6. With the cost of living increase a hot topic at the moment, I imagine attendances will continue to suffer next season if the pricing goes up a fair bit. As much as I don’t think the price should increase, my guess is that it will….
  7. Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters drummer has died today. Only 50 as well.
  8. Whilst it is a valid question in many ways to query who we will appoint if Mowbray leaves, if we are just to stick with Mowbray for eternity in the hope that he gets it right, I’d be asking what the point of it all is tbh.
  9. Ah lovely, is that back on I player now? Been looking forward to that!
  10. Finished the new season of Top Boy. Bloody hell. Harsh, but brilliantly done!
  11. Would probably go with a 6 too. Coyle left him with a lot to do in the relegation season and to go down on GD was particularly gut wrenching. The PNE home game where we threw away a two goal lead stung and ultimately cost us. I also felt like we could have been more adventurous in other games and saved ourselves before then too. The league one promotion season was a great one tbh. Though I would have preferred us going up as champions obviously! It seemed like that season, we just about did enough, in terms of Dack, Mulgrew, Dack, Graham and Raya pulling us out of the brown stuff on a lot of occasions! In fairness, clubs with bigger fan bases than ours have struggled and continue to struggle to get out of that league, so credit where it has been due! We seemed to then plateau until this season, where we over achieved to get to second place. Saying that though, for us to fall away from play off contention, having looked strong for automatic promotion, goes down as being unforgivable in my book.
  12. I’d sooner he stopped 5 goals than misplaced 5 goal kicks tbh.
  13. Unless we can start scoring, the play offs are completely gone. It could be argued they’re gone already tbh, with all the other teams around and below us with their games in hand. Incredibly frustrating from being second to nearly completely blowing it in the space of a few months. It’s not over yet obviously and there’s time to correct it, but we couldn’t bag our shopping at the minute and it’s a massive concern.
  14. No it doesn’t. You’re just using one run from his managerial career to suit your argument. Far too small of a sample size.
  15. Quite surprising that I’m having to write this, particularly as I’m always keen to let everyone have their own views and own mind. But saying Mowbray is the most damaging manager the club has ever had, I just don’t understand that mindset. Unless of course, people have erased the Steve Kean period from their memory, which I can completely understand, as it was the worst I can ever remember it being, since following us.
  16. Playing players out of position is quite common, yes. But playing a defensive midfielder that hasn’t crossed the halfway line in about 6 months as a striker was quite incredible, even by Mowbray’s standards.
  17. If you lose to a team managed by Paul Ince, you don’t even deserve to be in the shake up. Still not over that tbh….
  18. I can’t agree with this strongly enough. Can people please stop hinting that they know something, using that to ridicule people’s views and then not elaborating. Then it just winds people up and goes on and on. The mods have said this more than enough times already, but it evidently bears repeating. Just either put up or shut up.
  19. To be fair though, even if that is a wild decision, Weimann has a sprint in him at least. Must be six months since Bradley Johnson crossed the half way line….
  20. To clarify, by players, I meant those he was playing with at that time I.E Gillespie and Ferdinand.
  21. If Shearer had or has an ego, it’s probably justified. He was better than all those players mentioned and he’s the all time PL scorer.
  22. Hedges who he had been chasing for over a year that isn’t even a striker?
