  1. I’m sure there’d be plenty willing to knock him out, if he goes to Bournemouth.
  2. If it really is Bournemouth, Rothwell can foxtrot oscar, then when he arrives at his destination, he can foxtrot oscar again. Utter madness from him to leave us for them at this time. Also madness for the club to even consider selling to a promotion rival too, no matter what the money. If this is true, it’s little wonder Mowbray was fuming yesterday when asked.
  3. ‘Gavin Ward didn’t give a free kick’. Probably the least surprising thing you’re ever likely to read.
  4. If he wants to go, there’s no sense in keeping him, but I sincerely hope we are in for a replacement if that’s the case. If it were my call, I wouldn’t be allowing it!
  5. Someone is passing on what he has heard and also been told. It may be true, it may not be, it’s probably best to wait and see, eh?
  6. Our away support is a credit to the club. They always travel in great numbers and make lots of noise. (I’m sure someone will highlight there are dickheads amongst our fan base, but that’s also true of every club!)
  7. They were looking into the signing as well I believe!
  8. It’s just a general point, you weren’t the only poster raising this over the last few days. I don’t think it’s as deep as freedom of speech, it’s just more me advising that threads go off on a tangent on the forum and explaining why, as it had been questioned. So I thought it would be prudent to shed some light.
  9. For all those moralising and trying to police the content of the threads, please leave that to the mods. We are currently fully staffed, so we don’t need you to step in for us, thanks. Sometimes, threads go off on a tangent, so, if people end up talking about contracts in this thread, then let them. Just so long as they aren’t being complete bell ends about it, it’s fine with me and luckily for me, that’s my call! Happy Friday!
  10. True, but he was burnt out before his time…
  11. Have we got a different Joe Rankin-Costello in the squad that I don’t know about? This one I keep hearing mentioned is significantly better than the one I’ve seen in our colours….. I will admit though, the only thing letting Nyambe down is his final third play. His defensive game is very good indeed.
  12. As much as I think we could do better than Gallagher, I’d never go down the route of not giving someone plaudits for scoring the winning goal. It’s not just incredibly unfair, it’s just wrong.
  13. Exactly. It seemed like the right time for him to sign off too, with him being a boyhood Palace fan and all that!
  14. Really glad your Dad is on the mend, I wish him a speedy recovery!
  15. I’ve just checked his feed and there’s nothing on there about that? He may have put a story on about it, as they only last 24 hours, but there’s nothing I can see. You got a link/screenshot?
  16. There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said, apart from I’m absolutely delighted with tonight and it felt pivotal. What a team, what a club, what a win. You love to see it.
  17. That useless player proved useful in the box. You love to see it.
  18. The only bias we have is against people being dicks. Any problems, slide into a mod’s DMs, or ask admin. The same as yesterday, the day before that, etc.
  19. So long as people haven’t forgotten why we are in this position, I’ll leave it there. It just seemed to me that was the case.
  20. Thanks for telling me how to do a job I’ve been doing for several years. I give out bans a lot less than you’re giving me credit for to be honest and I’m probably too lenient if anything! I always give people a fair warning to stop baiting others re their past remarks, so it’s quite frustrating to read that I am quick to give out bans, when I’m definitely too slow in reality!
  21. I just don’t want people to keep (deliberately?) missing the point of why we are in this situation. It reminds me of people that get sunburnt, then put aloe Vera on to remedy it, instead of putting sun tan lotion on first, to give themselves the best chance of not getting sunburnt in the first place….
  22. It just seems a bit selective to highlight FFP as a consideration, but then completely ignore why it is a consideration in the first place. It’s your life, makes no difference to me what you focus on!
  23. Not asking the club to focus on anything, but I’m just saying the clear reasons for why we are in this position shouldn’t be overlooked just because they paid money to correct mistakes they made in the first place….
  24. I’m just saying it’s something that people need to stop overlooking. It’s difficult to say, I don’t know much about the Burnley owners, they’ve been there 5 minutes, we’ve had 11 years with our lot. Granted, early signs with Burnley takeover aren’t good and could potentially be worse.
  25. The only reason FFP is such a concern is because of Venky’s complete mismanagement of the club for the last 11 years. It’s costing them so much to keep the club afloat because of their own mistakes. People seem all too willing to overlook this in favour of praising them for some reason. Yes, we need more bums on seats and I’m happy to report that that seems to be the case, but I’ll never blame people for being hesitant to come back to Ewood, if they feel like they’ve had the piss taken out of them. Just as I’ll never blame people for continuing to attend matches, because they love their club more than they hate Venky’s.
