  1. Steve Kean levels of bullshit after the series so far. Unreal.
  2. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for your continued contributions to the site. Hope you have a great day!
  3. I’m absolutely delighted with how we’ve been playing and the results we’ve been getting recently. But as ever, my concern is that a death spiral is never too far away. I hope we’ve turned a corner and that isn’t the case, but, having been let down so many times before, I never get ahead of myself and just enjoy one result at a time. Mowbray deserves enormous credit for this run and our turnaround since the Fulham thumping, but they don’t hand out any prizes in December, let’s see how we are doing in May….
  4. Over kill of any song absolutely ruins it. Is there no danger of people listening to any different music? There’s plenty of it about!
  5. I’ve already made this very clear and it’s getting very frustrating that people can’t follow simple instructions. If they fail to follow such simple instructions from now on, they can expect time away from the forum. If anyone wants to discuss the virus and whatever, you can do so to your heart’s content, right here-
  6. That’s a very long winded way of saying ‘I agree with you’ to Matty 😃.
  7. Rare I stick up for Liverpool, but Kane should have been sent off in first half too and Liverpool should have had a penalty. Cracking game though!
  8. After everything the last ten years, it would be Rovers without question. If we were an established PL team again, then I’d take an England WC win as I’ve already seen us win the league. But, typically, I’m Rovers>England.
  9. Re the baiting- it’s really sad that so much of it happens on here and bizarrely, it seems to be a priority for some over enjoyment of a win. On both sides of the debate on here, people are so entrenched in their views that they’re losing sight of what brought us here in the first place. (A shared love of BRFC). I’m not ashamed to admit it borders on obsession, certainly with how often I find myself on here! Examples of baiting for the curious- (after a defeat)- ‘where are all the happy clappers now?’. After a win- ‘where are all the Mowbray out crew now?’. Or criticising people for staying away with added insults, it’s lower than the standard of discussion we expect to see on here. If you keep getting 48 hour bans for baiting, then your bans will just keep getting longer, before, frankly we’ll have had enough of you not learning your lesson and you’ll just get a permanent ban. That is the absolute last resort and myself and the rest of the mods hate doing that, but we only do so after giving members plenty of chances to stop. By the way, we are good at spotting patterns- I.E members logging on when the mods are asleep and running wild for a bit, but don’t worry, we eventually wake up and deal with things retrospectively! This post doesn’t require any response, only compliance please. Any issues, as ever, feel free to send myself or any of the other mods a DM and we will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have. Thanks for reading and enjoy the festive period.
  10. Just been for a curry at Shajan (had a chicken banjara from the chef’s specials and it was absolutely outstanding, for the curious amongst us) and saw John Buckley with his family in there. I didn’t bother congratulating him on the goal or anything, but if anyone has earned a good feed, it’s him! (Not me, I eat enough as it is).
  11. McDonald’s is shite, but sometimes, especially when nursing a sore head Tom too many pints, it’s exactly what you crave the most.
  12. Absolutely elated with that today. Whatever we are doing, it’s working and it’s working very well. Everything seems to be falling into place and I’d fancy us against anyone in the league right now. I wouldn’t like to say how we will fare come the end of the season, but, we’re doing well at the moment, so I’m just enjoying the here and now! It’s rare that I’m able to be so sure about Rovers, but we’re smashing it at the minute and long may that continue!
  13. Jonjo Shelvey is a cracking footballer, when he fancies it, but the only person stopping him doing this consistently, is Jonjo Shelvey.
  14. What I really don’t like is the judgmental nature that people have taken on over this whole subject. Whatever we may think of the government, they’re calling the shots and if people are legally allowed to still do things, then they will do them, myself very much included. As someone that has suffered massively with mental health issues over the years, lockdown was one of the most difficult times of my life, as I thrive so much on social contact and seeing my nearest and dearest regularly. It’s alright for people with partners and children, but if you’re single with none of that, the isolation can be incredibly difficult to handle. What’s on the agenda tonight then K-Hod? ‘Well, probs some Netflix and snacks on my own again’. Rinse and repeat for far too much of the last two years. It’s absolutely grim and as long as I’m still allowed to legally see people and engage in the past times I love, then I’m going to engage in them. If people want to take a cautious approach, no worries, I totally respect that and understand where you’re coming from. However, this situation cannot continue forever and I’m very much looking forward to the conclusion of it in truth, as for large parts, well, it’s just been horrible to be honest.
  15. One hell of a strike from Trent Alexander-Arnold. Worth anyone’s time watching the highlights for that one alone!!
  16. Christ, that’d be a bit pricey in a proper burger joint, never mind on the footy!
  17. Hi Everyone, now that we’ve filled our boots with Covid chat, can we get it back to football now please? Thanks in advance.
  18. I never said it wasn’t up to him and I agree it’s his choice. This however, is about not assuming that everyone wants to be locked up forever, if they favour a more cautious approach. For what it’s worth, I’m going to be attending matches and events like normal as long as I’m allowed to!
  19. The bit in bold- I’ve mentioned this to you several times before. Please can you stop assuming that because people have a different view to yourself that this is what they want? As life definitely isn’t that simple.
  20. Not sure what defines ‘being careful’ or ‘staying safe’, but whatever precautions you take, short of isolating in your own gaff, you could still catch it quite easily….
  21. I might be wrong on this, but I’m sure the league were saying that games are called off if teams have less than 14 available players. I can understand that an outbreak at Watford would be quite damaging, but Man United must have had a hell of a lot of cases to be calling it off!
  22. That’s reasonable to ask, but it’s not reasonable to accuse anyone that attends matches of being selfish. Anyway, back to football please!
  23. I’m not afraid of any of this, just confused by why phrases don’t mean what they should do….
