  1. Always nice to see us win, but apart from a nice ego boost by playing against part timers, I’m really not sure what else we gain from these matches.
  2. I’ll never understand why people think criticising players on the internet is equal to not supporting players at matches. It’s the giant leap of all giant leaps, I’ll be honest.
  3. ‘Some clueless people about’. Aye, in the reply section.
  4. Max was always a decent enough one in Hyndburn (just next to Blackburn), but I think they’ve lost a lot of drivers since Covid.
  5. Celtic were miles ahead for ages and he not only narrowed that gap, but he overtook them, which was no mean feat! Granted, he’s a lot more to prove as a manage and I do think this job has probably come around a bit too soon tbh.
  6. Lampard didn’t sort the defence out at Chelsea and it cost him his job in the end. That same defence won the Champions League a few months later. Norwich are seemingly planning to trust him with fixing a massively inferior defence that is shipping goals for fun. Strange old logic from Norwich tbh.
  7. I’ve done 7 episodes of the first season of Succession and I’m really enjoying it. There’s this to blast through, then onto Dexter. (Another one that I want to see the end of, but I’m not that bothered about fundamentally).
  8. Ferguson is still lurking in the background and it’s really not healthy for the club at or subsequent managers at all. Re Bobby Charlton though, very sadly, he’s had dementia for a year, so I don’t imagine he’s involved any more.
  9. I’d say Reece James is better overall personally, but TAA’s set pieces are outstanding.
  10. Scott Wharton>Darragh Lenihan. (As far as I’m concerned, anyway). Ayala and Wharton represents our strongest centre half pairing for me.
  11. Very happy with that today. Lots of positives, but Khadra’s set piece delivery was excellent. Poveda was amazing for his goal. Brilliant to see.
  12. I’m a big fan of Luke Shaw, but between him and De Gea, that’s abysmal defending for the second goal.
  13. Off to watch Working Men’s Club at the Electric Church just now! (Former Live Lounge). They supported New Order and were bang on, plus I’d heard them on 6 Music a lot. For £6 and £4.80 train fare, it was a no brainier, tbh.
  14. ‘Why the negativity?’ Probs because you just presided over our heaviest home defeat in history?
  15. As much as I preach about not copying and pasting on here, if anyone feels like being sound and copying and pasting the article into this thread, I’d be into it!
  16. What I really don’t like is the word ‘abuse’ being conveniently redefined to support people’s arguments. Criticism for being shit at your job isn’t abuse and it’s time the word was reclaimed. Not saying abuse doesn’t happen at all, as it does, but nowhere near to the extent Mowbray and his staunch defenders are saying.
  17. He must have better telekinetic abilities than I gave him credit for, as the only times I saw him on the touch line, he was standing there with his hands in his pockets! More front than Blackpool Prom.
  18. The whole thing is just an absolute mess. Whatever happened to accountability? Only Ballance has come out with any sort of apology, it really doesn’t paint Yorkshire CCC in a good light at all.
  19. Yep, don’t worry, this also affected me and my mate Biz last night too. I’ll be raising it at the next FF. Along with Mowbray not apologising for last night and also not applauding the fans at QPR. If there are any other items that you (or anyone else) want to be raised, send me a DM.
  20. I am absolutely loathe to make this comparison, but I’ve been thinking all day that surviving a 0-7 reverse at home is getting into Kean levels of being unsackable. If last night isn’t the tipping point, what the hell will it be?
  21. I’m just speechless still, to be honest. (And that’s unusual for me!) I may well change my mind, but last night is still raw and it still stings like a bitch tbh.
  22. Woken up still shell shocked after last night. Definitely don’t want to go on Saturday. Or probably ever again to be honest. The lack of apology from Mowbray is incredibly galling too.
