  1. Touché! We played Hull the other night, same region (ish)….
  2. What I noticed the other night with Dolan, was just how much he’s grown in confidence with his shooting. Granted, his goal at the weekend will have helped, but he had two very good efforts from distance on Tuesday night, which is encouraging.
  3. And yet he made a cracking tackle the other night against Barnsley which resulted in us going on the attack….
  4. Absolutely! Still, it seemed odd to me that people were saying he played well, when I thought he was poor tbh.
  5. I felt he was pretty shite apart from his goal tbh. I was there and my mate sitting with me said the same.
  6. He’s been class, no doubt. Just a shame it took over a year for him to not be injured. Can we not aim to bait people please? Not just in this thread, but across other threads, it’s absolutely tiresome.
  7. Maybe, but I’d rather play against the one less likely to score a goal, which is Sam Gallagher.
  8. That reason is that he’s better at football, would be my guess….
  9. You slag off McCarthy for his style, but Ainsworth’s is no better and hasn’t got the track record of McCarthy……
  10. If McCarthy regularly punching above his weight is boring, then I’d take boring every single day of the week tbh.
  11. Venky’s aren’t the only ones to blame, but they own the club, so ultimately, the Buck stops with them….
  12. Managed to catch Carl Cox, Skream, Artwork, Honey Dijon, Adam Bayer and Dave yesterday. Dave closed the day and brought Stormzy out for a tune they made about three months ago to finish. Incredible stuff.
  13. New Order were absolutely unbelievable last night. That’s one ticked off! Parklife today and I’ll be watching Carl Cox from 12-3, amongst others, then Dave to finish. Lovely.
  14. As mentioned in the other thread, these are on the agenda. Also, I’ve been on the wrong end of these myself, so I’ll add my two pence worth!!
  15. I’m a great defender of Sterling, but last night he regressed and went back to trying to do too much in good positions. Mount hasn’t had a good start to the season, but he ended the last one on fire for Chelsea. I’d rather see Grealish where Mount is and an actual wide player out wide. I’d also have Foden in above anyone else (when fit, of course!)
  16. New Order and Dave. Going to see both those chaps this weekend at Heaton Park. Lovely.
  17. Well, that turned out to be a waste of time, eh? Kinda like Nixon tbh….
  18. A few inconsistencies with what Nixon and everyone else is saying though. Venky’s are mad at him for not signing a striker, but then they won’t back him because they don’t trust him and he might leave at the end of the season anyway?
  19. There is room for everyone’s views on football here, no matter what people say. If people choose not to post, because they felt ‘hounded out’ or whatever, then tbh, whilst it is a real shame that people feel that way, ultimately, that’s on them. ‘You can’t please all the people all of the time’ as a famous Jamaican singer once said. To me, if you believe in the strength of your beliefs, then what does it matter if lots of strangers disagree on a forum?
  20. I think some people are over thinking Sterling and his shirt removal. I think he was trying to show it to the world, rather than specifically Hungarian fans, as the person who had died was obviously very dear to him. It’s a unique take on something that players have been doing for years when celebrating goals….
  21. Three straight through the keeper’s hands. Christ.
