It was the required amount of power that was lacking, not the accuracy!

Hell fire, who knew Buckley had that in his locker?

Mowbray has gone stale and massively overstayed his welcome. He’s just turned out to be a terrible manager. Steve Kean absolutely rinsed this club, was a snake and general horror bag. I get we are all frustrated with Mowbray and our spectacular collapse, but I just don’t think people’s memories go back far enough if you’re saying Mowbray is as bad as Kean. There is genuinely no comparison and think it’s incredible anyone would even suggest so to be honest. Perspective needed!
-
I’ll be honest, whilst we’ve had a shocking run obviously, I never understand why people put so much stock into what Mowbray says or how active he is on the touch line. If we were winning and he was squatting on the sideline like Bielsa, I bet nobody would care… Same goes for what he says in the media- I think people are allowing themselves to be triggered far too easily as they’re fed up….

Seen loads of flags in Clitheroe, one on the castle too no less! A favoured meme that whoppers tend to share online is about not being able to fly flags as it’s ‘offensive to minorities’. Another load of bollocks peddled by gullible folk. You can fly any flag you want at any time as long as it meets fire regulations. Quite why people believe the opposite is beyond me. But then, I think in this day and age, people are determined to be offended by things that definitely aren’t true. Ironically, these people are determined to call everyone ‘snowflakes’. A strange world we live in!

Premier League season 21/22
K-Hod replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It was absolutely pathetic, wasn’t it? A cross comes over, Varane misses it, then Telles the exact same. Saka has all the time in the world to pick his spot, then De Gea pulls off a good save and palms it into the path of Arsenal’s reserve left back who will never have an easier chance to bag! Almost too easy. They needed a response after a humbling in the week and just like us vs Stoke, they got one, just the exact opposite of what they needed…. -
I’ll be honest, we need to get away from ‘if you do this, you’re endorsing this’ as it’s just a nonsense narrative that gets on board with blaming the fans and I’m not having it. The reasons for buying a season ticket run a lot deeper than feelings about the manager and the ownership and in my view that’s not being respected, with that line of suggestion.
-
Seeing a few posts saying ‘if you sign up for a season ticket, it’s a vote of confidence in the owners’ and such. Please can we aim not to blame and goad other fans? I like to think we are better than that.
-
To be fair, everyone else is brassed off because we’ve been shite on the pitch for months and now there’s a season ticket increase unless you renew in the next six weeks. So, unless you can tell people why they shouldn’t be brassed off, then maybe be more respectful of their views. We are absolutely done with people talking in riddles on here.
-
I agree to be fair, I do count a lot of Burnley fans as friends! There is a definite gobshite element that were very vocal around the time of our demise that isn’t so easily forgiven… I’m sure it happened many years back, but that was before my time!
-
It’s a no from me. After the way that lot went on, after all that went on with us, they can foxtrot oscar.
-
This is why people can’t be taking rumours on here as gospel. JoeH is saying he’s had a PL offer and Darren Rover is saying there has been no interest in either him or Lenihan. Re Nyambe, they both can’t be right….

@tomphil You’ve got a fan….

I’m glad you feel that things are improving in one way or another and also glad you feel like you’ve helped with that. I think for the sake of message board harmony, you’re going to need to put some meat on the bones, or keep quiet. We’ve had a disastrous end to the season and things have gone terribly. It’s really not helpful to talk in riddles and then not elaborate. Any time you feel like expanding, please do, otherwise, it’s probably best not to start.

We never tend to win local away games and I expect this will be no different. How many goals we ship depends on how easy PNE decide to take it on us tbh…
-
He’s right to be fair. I am an entitled football fan. I’m entitled to want and expect the best from my club, including it not being run for the benefit of anything bar success on the pitch. What a deflecting dickhead!

I watched both parts of that Gazza documentary last night. Not an easy watch and as I was quite young, I didn’t know about the treatment from the press at the time. No wonder he ended up like he did really….

Lots not happy near me. This is horrendous. As bad as anything I’ve ever seen from Mowbray. -

‘How shit must you be, we’re winning away?’. Don’t worry lads, we’ll give you a cracking example for the next 90 minutes…. -

Is Davenport still a thing? Or is he injured? Totally forgot about him until just now! Or is he still the original Hedges? (I.E a player Mowbray words hard for ages to sign, then never picks). -
Taking football out of the equation for a minute… If someone could get paid much more than they currently earn and wouldn’t even have to move house, just go somewhere else to work every day, they’d be insane to turn that down.

It’s not ideal, but to be fair, people are quite rightly very irritated that we were second and comfortable, now we are outside the play offs, on a wretched run and couldn’t buy a win. -
Very sassy! As much as Steve Waggott is present at the meetings, I don’t think he would take my managerial suggestions on board somehow! We will never know unless we ask. He might feel embittered at how he has been treated and want to get one over on them, who knows? Could you imagine Dyche leading us out against Burnley next season and coming out on top? I imagine we would all like that!
-
I’ve no idea to be honest, just quoting what he said. My money’s on Broad. The only real candidate that springs to mind! Would be one hell of a return for him if that did happen!
