  1. To be fair, everyone else is brassed off because we’ve been shite on the pitch for months and now there’s a season ticket increase unless you renew in the next six weeks. So, unless you can tell people why they shouldn’t be brassed off, then maybe be more respectful of their views. We are absolutely done with people talking in riddles on here.
  2. I agree to be fair, I do count a lot of Burnley fans as friends! There is a definite gobshite element that were very vocal around the time of our demise that isn’t so easily forgiven… I’m sure it happened many years back, but that was before my time!
  3. It’s a no from me. After the way that lot went on, after all that went on with us, they can foxtrot oscar.
  4. This is why people can’t be taking rumours on here as gospel. JoeH is saying he’s had a PL offer and Darren Rover is saying there has been no interest in either him or Lenihan. Re Nyambe, they both can’t be right….
  5. @tomphil You’ve got a fan….
  6. I’m glad you feel that things are improving in one way or another and also glad you feel like you’ve helped with that. I think for the sake of message board harmony, you’re going to need to put some meat on the bones, or keep quiet. We’ve had a disastrous end to the season and things have gone terribly. It’s really not helpful to talk in riddles and then not elaborate. Any time you feel like expanding, please do, otherwise, it’s probably best not to start.
  7. We never tend to win local away games and I expect this will be no different. How many goals we ship depends on how easy PNE decide to take it on us tbh…
  8. He’s right to be fair. I am an entitled football fan. I’m entitled to want and expect the best from my club, including it not being run for the benefit of anything bar success on the pitch. What a deflecting dickhead!
  9. I watched both parts of that Gazza documentary last night. Not an easy watch and as I was quite young, I didn’t know about the treatment from the press at the time. No wonder he ended up like he did really….
  10. Lots not happy near me. This is horrendous. As bad as anything I’ve ever seen from Mowbray.
  11. ‘How shit must you be, we’re winning away?’. Don’t worry lads, we’ll give you a cracking example for the next 90 minutes….
  12. Is Davenport still a thing? Or is he injured? Totally forgot about him until just now! Or is he still the original Hedges? (I.E a player Mowbray words hard for ages to sign, then never picks).
  13. Taking football out of the equation for a minute… If someone could get paid much more than they currently earn and wouldn’t even have to move house, just go somewhere else to work every day, they’d be insane to turn that down.
  14. It’s not ideal, but to be fair, people are quite rightly very irritated that we were second and comfortable, now we are outside the play offs, on a wretched run and couldn’t buy a win.
  15. Very sassy! As much as Steve Waggott is present at the meetings, I don’t think he would take my managerial suggestions on board somehow! We will never know unless we ask. He might feel embittered at how he has been treated and want to get one over on them, who knows? Could you imagine Dyche leading us out against Burnley next season and coming out on top? I imagine we would all like that!
  16. I don’t know if he’s a realistic candidate or not, but we should be looking at someone like him if we have ambitions of promotion!
  17. I’ve no idea to be honest, just quoting what he said. My money’s on Broad. The only real candidate that springs to mind! Would be one hell of a return for him if that did happen!
  18. Classic Nixon.
  19. I think Stokes is on record saying he doesn’t want the captaincy. Plus, I think given his personal struggles over the last year, it would be unfair to ask it of him too.
  20. I’ve seen him knocking about in Whalley and Clitheroe a bit, think him and Ian Woan Shared a flat somewhere nearby.
  21. He kept Burnley punching above their weight for years. There are barely any better candidates knocking about. Don’t you remember the season they went up and beat us twice? He would be the ideal Championship manager and won’t be out of work long.
  22. Not surprised by the sacking? He’s been there ten years and completely transformed the club. There haven’t been any whispers or rumours about it at all.
  23. Insanity from their board. As we know, sacking a manager is the easy part, the right replacement is the tough bit. It might end up being a master stroke, but I also think he was the reason things were going so well for them….
  24. We still need to keep him in the side though, nobody else can get any runs! There’s not exactly a long list of candidates to replace Root as captain either!
  25. Sounds like a pretty rubbish Friday tbf.
