  1. As I originally asked R11 how do you define a leader? Not sure I agree with your perception but Mulgrew clearly is a leader on and off the park he might just not fit your idea of a leader hence why I asked? There are no captains around these days of the old mould Cb’s this is 2019 the era of people who ask why rather than doing! I think with Walton in goal we will see better communication and better organisation, I don’t think we will be conceding goals like we did las5 season.
  2. how do you define great leader? Where are all the other football club captains spouting off their credentials over social media and fan web sites? It just doesn't happen in this way.
  3. Don’t need to quote as others have pointed out go and read the fans websites not a chance it’s 99%
  4. Samba was described as bambi on ice initially he didn't turn out that bad did he?
  5. Of course I am not linking BRFCS to general negativity around the club. There is still the apathy and fall out from Kean Coyle and co as well as the owners AND we still have 6000 missing supporters and more. You only have to read LET comments to see that. There are still the I won’t return brigade that need to move on and perhaps look at it from a different angle. Ewood would be a much better place than it is if the average home crowd increased by say 4K and then there is the positive knock on to the team. If our away support was replicated at home and by that I mean supporting the team and creating a good atmosphere then all would be better. People can have their opinions, put them on MB’s yet won’t venture to the ground I believe the better option is to get to a Ewood and give your support to those on the pitch. Ewood is changing and the club is moving forward the stay aways won’t see that via a keyboard! Thats the point I was trying to make.
  6. And how good would it really be if we managed to suppress some of the negativity ? Nothing better than a loud and raucous Ewood Park when the support rallies so does the team no matter who is on the pitch
  7. At no point have I absolved the defending alongside Rayas shockers however look at it from another angle and you can see just how bad Raya has been and it is his lack of confidence alongside stupid mistakes that cost us dear. I am sure we won’t be anywhere near as bad defensive wise because we have changed the way and style of play which I think will greatly benefit us. Yes I would like a big headed rough arse CB alongside Lenihan but until that happens we go with what we got. I saw enough at Ibrox to see we can be progressive this year and we have had a decent pre season. lets see how we go on Saturday we need the support behind the team
  8. So many blame Mowbray and Waggott yet fail to apply a bit of logic here. Clubs might not want to sell players! Clubs may be asking over price for players in testing Rovers budget! Players May be asking extortionate sums to sign on! Players May not want to come to Rovers and seek alternative moves! Rovers May have offered deals and money and have been refused and are now playing the waiting game! These are all valid reasons why we haven’t signed a defender or defenders, or a second keeper. Other Luba know Rovers need to offload some plAyers and will be playing the exact same games, they want value for their limited cash supplies. Looking at the league how many clubs have splurged big time? Not many. Compare Rovers to Derby right now? They are far worse off than us on the pitch wise and haven’t replaced their loan stars from last season. Some mention we haven’t replaced Reed, we haven’t and do we need to ? We have some real class players c9ming through who can excel like Reed did. Raya cost us so many points last season and I am not overly concerned about our defensive players with the signing of a much better commanding keeper in the pegs. Walton can give some real confidence to the back 3 or 4 whilst going forward is there any team in the league blessed with the speed and riches we have at the club? Get to Ewood on Saturday and get behind the ream
  9. In my opinion there are a whole host of clubs in the very same or worse position than we are. I can’t understand why people can’t see this, all clubs are sitting back and waiting for the last few days hence why we can’t or haven’t sold players YET.
  10. Let’s be real coyle was and is a tw@t and nearly ruined us there can be no further argument on that point. As good as Smallwood was in L1 he is out of his depth now there are better players in the squad he has been usurped by the youngsters who appear to be grabbing their chances a bit like a young Johnson did when he was a young lad. Evans should follow Nuttall as well should go on loan. It’s time to trim the squad down to 25/27 players and get them playing attacking football from the off. Like some one has mentioned there are teams much worse off than us in this league even the relegated teams seem to be on a par with the established top 6 teams. Rovers have a real chance to make an impact from the off.
  11. Nice one Rangers Fan We can only hope we can invite your club to Ewood next season for a pre season match however the local old bill might have a say. In saying that you can always send another invite our way, you cant beat a good Sunday afternoon out in Glasgow.
  12. I wish some fans would just read and DIGEST the last part of your sentence !
  13. Wigan couldn’t afford to Loan him again I read cooks reasons in the Wigan news they have a small budget and need a few players elsewhere
  14. Matt as we left the stadium announced the crowd as 25200
  15. Pizza Hut update settled for a salad starter stuffed crust chicken supreme washed down with apple juice the tenants was griping my bowels?? still discussing the game as we head down back into God’s country Rangers have been scoring freely of recent I believe around 16 goals scored and hardly any conceded. The result today put us in good stead despite some poor performances by some players. Great turn out for ROVERS we should have had more after all we actually entered the rangers end and were shown through the stands 26k plus for a friendly isn’t too bad and shows the level of support for them all in all a good experience met some gers fans who were all very friendly and welcoming so credit to them . Finally the underground of Glasgow is an experience a right proper rattler of a train ?
  16. Walton is head and shoulders above Raya in all goalkeeper departments that’s why he is at a premier league club whereas Raya is at Brentford who are a place above us in the championship?
  17. I have to say the new away kit looks much better in the flesh than in the media
  18. Forgot to mention Jayson the keeper was awful The Dack was off his game Evans was atrocious and the defence was pulled all over other than that the food at Pizza Hut is fabulous after a few beers???
  19. Reporting live outside Queens st match finished1-1 deserved draw in the end . Observations Lenihan and Mulgrew cannot play together, Bennett is not a right back and Bell is low on confidence. Midfield needs Travis alongside Johnson. Graham looks unfit to me. Positives were the subs esp Buckley he is good enough NOW so play him or lose him. Sad but true why do morons who don stone island gear turn into utter cretins? We do not need such dicks following us away
  20. Train warning! For fans going by train you need to check the timetable for tomorrow some trains will be bus travel replacements if work at Warrington over runs!
