  1. there are not that many better teams then WBA in this league, we just happened to convert our chances and battle like hell.
  2. I can tell you he was well Spoken of at a wiggin pie shop 😅😅
  3. If we think we have a £20m striker in BBD they have Grant who is I believe a better all round player and probably valued at £25m, they have Diagana who again is quality and is another £25m plus player and then they have Robinson who can score from very little. Add that to a solid midfield spine with creativity and the value of Rovers taking 3 points from WBA is massive. Rovers showed mettle and bottle aplenty along with two sublime pieces of finishing !
  4. He ran his legs off for the time on tree pitch in 34 degs of heat the stadium was a sweltering sweat box - he is part of a squad that has just won 4 on the spin !
  5. It’s a very long time since I witnessed the WHOLE Rovers support stand and applaud those players as they crawled off the park having given their all and busted more than a gut for the shirt, for themselves, for each other and for the fans 👍. We have always known there is a togetherness within the squad but todays game more than ever it was on display and none more so than Ayala and Travis supported by a wonderful team effort ! Strikers scoring 2 excellent goals and the defence, as patched up as it is only conceding an outrageous deflected effort from a team that on paper look to be one of the best in the league. What a pity there wasn’t even more home fans in the ground to witness what is unfolding on that pitch and within this squad JDT and co appear to have instilled an even better ethic a solid spine and the tactical nouse for the players to go out work hard and win games! It’s a pleasure to see ! Every fan needs to spread the Rovers word be as one and get on Ewood something special is happening
  6. No at no point was there any indication of a full pitch weave
  7. Don’t be silly the contract offer was and had been on the table for 2 years. Remember after declining several improved offers he took his agents advice telling the club he was a premier league full back THEN when it became clearer no one was in for him HE and his agent crawled back to Ewood for further talks and after more fannying around Rovers pulled the plug as the agent and Nyambe had messed around ! That’s the real story
  8. From seeing him running with the Wigan RLK lads around where we live he is overweight and not in the same fitness league as them and they are all a year or two younger
  9. Looking forward to a loud and proud rendition from AC DC pre match, makes it so much better and you cant beat a beat of THUNDERSTRUCK at a very loud level!
  10. Stats can be manipulated any way you want. As a right back he could bomb forward and he could defend at times however, he cant head a ball, his throw ins are poor, he cannot cross a ball, he doesn't score and that's just my observations from watching him!
  11. It’s a tough call on this game. WBA seem a sold side and even without a recognised forward they have a lot of pace and midfielders who can kill the game and score goals - we saw the effect of Mowatt last season whilst Phillips is also a threat on the pitch. I do see Rovers competing but I don’t see us having a lots of chances - Rovers have to take their chance when it comes. Vital that Hedges keeps his role - I think SS could be pivotal in a close game - 1st goal takes the points
  12. I didnt offer anything else other than he was a close friend of AN and a regular sharing a bottle of vino and a meal together!
  13. There is not a team in the Championship that can offer or give a guarantee for a loan player to play X amount of games in the season
  14. The new manager bounce is normally associated after a mid season sacking! JDT is and has progressed the work ethic and team spirit that we already knew was there and hopefully with the fresh approach and strong backroom will further it even more
  15. its down to the player. Does he really need to earn millions to play first team football after the riches in his pocket? The days of huge massive pay packets outside of the PL are long gone.
  16. I think the issue with Mowbray's tenancy is that he grew seriously stale and indeed rather than making further progress, he stopped, regressed and then fell out with everyone including himself ! This is where it went wrong and he overstayed his welcome and became even more stubborn with petty excuse after excuse. There is no doubt he righted the ship and the work behind the scenes isn't just about Mowbray and Venus, Sheron and co take a lot of credit for the manner and progress of the youth set up as well as all of the other back room staff, that's why they are all coveted by bigger clubs. I enjoyed his first 3 and a half years but then it went rotten and last season where he had the chance to write his place in the BRFC history books, he sulked, he moaned and he blew the chance big time, that is what really hurts.
  17. but losing against the lower ranked teams was is the point I was making!
  18. Has Mowbrays cup collapso routine been rooted out of the club ?😅
  19. Players like Ayala and Travis should be rested to avoid injury and silly bookings. For me, play a few younger ones and those that need the fitness boost. Dack to score a couple as Rovers make it to the next round!
  20. Because suddenly becomes a real arse who the hell will take him on? Dack isnt the type of individual who would resort to this type of behaviour.
