  1. Have you ever thought that the "best" candidates" as named on here and in media are not always the better fit for the club? I mean, I have been in jobs where the stand out favourites have actually missed the job because a lesser candidate actually showed an alternative view to the job which might just be to the benefit of the club. All this nonsense about wages being an issue, all this nonsense about Benson - Lowe I will have/understand and the nonsense about being a lack of ambition/money or interest from those within the club is total bullshit - yes we have seen over the years the club spiral into chaos but right now, after a pandemic of massive proportions, the club is on a stable footing, we are not facing issues with FFP, we are not facing administration or a points deduction, we are not a Derby County, Bristol C or any of the other clubs that are facing financial investigations. Yes, there are issues with season ticket/match prices, and I for one sincerely hope the club are listening to the likes of RT and I am disappointed that so far, I haven't seen a response to the letter that was so eloquently put together by those with a real concern. So, as for the new manager to be, it isn't a grayson, it isn't a coyle wannabee cheapee, its looking like an alternative vision, something new so lets see how it pans out. There is no ruish to get the manager behind the desk next week, its a conditioning week, the real training starts in 10 days, that's when the manager needs to be in.
  2. I don't think either would have stooped to that, both are experienced and well known in football circles, they wither got better offers cash wise, CC has shown the limit of his ambition whereas DF has gone to a club with real aspirations
  3. Again, someone has not read the post clearly and doesn't understand the point I am making
  4. Where have I said I have? I haven't nor have I given any indication of such. There is a poster who remarked on this forum that it was apparent the owners liked Ainsworth but that Waggot didn't, that is the point I am making. There isn't anything to back up that claim in any way, shape or form.
  5. Exactly, yet there are suggestions on here that he has in respect of G Ainsworth - they liked him, he didnt!
  6. I never said that at all nor did I give any indication that was the point. I said quite clearly, Mowbrays salary and loyalty bonus are already budgeted for. A new manager starts being paid after the first month of of his contract starts.
  7. Mowbray is at the end of his contract his final salary will be on pay day along with his loyalty bonus, it matters not a jot about paying two potential wages, it is all budgeted for in the last financial year. How can you not believe the link to Deila? Its over many news links, are you suggesting they are all wrong? Where is your evidence to say Rovers would not entertain compensation payments should they go for a manager in employment or are you relying on blind speculation?
  8. It most certainly has earlier in this thread! The suggestion was clear, the owners had identified and were happy with a proposed manager HOWEVER SW didnt agree and overruled them! In any case its about opinions and f yours is different to mine then that is fine by me. I think my views are not wishy washy they are very clear
  9. I am positive that I am in the same frame of mind as you and many others about the lack of appointing a manager with 1 week to go before the players return. I am positive that progress is being made. I am positive that I remain sated by the complete football knowledge that we read daily on here. I am positive that despite members having an opinion of Waggot, his failures, his duties, his lack of vision and ability as a CEO and that he has the power to over rule the owners that scenario is complete and utter shite! I am positive Gregg Broughton will be a different dynamic to Ewood on the football side. Does that help?
  10. No I am not bitter at all. I have my own views on Lenihan, I personally would have liked him to stay, but for me and I emphasise, Boro are no bigger or better than Rovers, they finished a measly 1 point and 1 place higher than us despite having the so called riches we don't, Wilder at the helm and Gibson driving them on whereas we had the ineffective Mowbray, Venus, Benson and Lowe and loose cannon Waggot leading us off the park! That in itself tells a story!
  11. No it goes back much further Matty to when they resided at Ayresome park, the ultimate of shitholes back then and the rucks that we often saw from the so called hard lads especially when they just legged it over the graveyard when faced with the north west lads😀
  12. One thing is clear from DL, despite the club standing by him with his back injuries a few years ago he has shown no loyalty back to the club. He will find that the grass isn't always greener and indeed he may find it difficult to make the first 11 he wont unseat McNair, Fry or Hall in the centre of defence and he most certainly wont be the right back in that team.
  13. But its not ambition wise after all he clearly stated that he wanted a Premiership move, added to the fact his contract was agreed at Ewood, on the table ready for signing with no financial issues and it says to me that in this case earnings are a factor. Boro are not a bigger club than Rovers and offer no more a chance of promotion than we do.
  14. Shite supporters who think they are the biggest club in the NE. A club that doesn't respect decisions - we saw it when they cried off the game at Ewood and got themselves relegated for their troubles.# An owner in Gibson who thinks that he can just sue everyone when things don't go his way. The owner who thinks his club is actually much bigger than it actually is. A club that throws money and doesn't get anything back in return. Just for starters!
  15. big step down for him boro are as bad a club as birmingham and they are rank bad piss poor
  16. I think it would be of concern of the new DOF didn't ask such questions to satisfy himself before accepting the job.
  17. I am pretty sure he would have asked numerous questions about all things football related, you are underestimating the mans intellect if you think that!
  18. Simon, Broughton is well thought of throughout football and has a good reputation. His appointment is out of the blue and just shows how far under the radar things are at Ewood with very limited links to information being available🤐. My own take is that the new coach situation is probably further down the line than we perhaps realise.
  19. The fact that he took a rag tag outfit like Luton and moulded them into a play off playing team? A manager who has passion in abundance? a manager who out manoeuvred a mowbray team this season? FFS!
