  1. No nearer ? If 8 have been interviewed of course they are nearer to making an appointment
  2. Anyone who this Coyle was on £2k a week needs to give their bonce a wobble! Go back and I am sure there is comment about the figures involved when he was sacked.
  3. Actually Gav impressed by your positivity😄 If the communication is there people will know about it so it is a huge thing Rovers have to improve on. Now they must concentrate on the most important issue - season tickets and fans. I foresee a busy week ahead at Ewood/Brockhall lets hope that things progress pretty sharply. Now then, pub and rugby league final, curry in Hindley then its the Champs League final, we can but only dream🤔
  4. It is down to compensation figures and the termination of the contract. With such big money involved and it is a rumoured £15m pay off the outgoing manager will normally wait for the next job as it impacts on the severance agreement whereas the club moves on to the next manager. Gardening leave is an almost certainty to be involved as whilst the manager may not be working he will be getting a salary again until the severance is agreed. That info comes from someone at the FA
  5. Failed signing or not good enough? Whenever I have seen him he has been no more than bang average
  6. Dyche cannot take a job until his severance is agreed with Burnley and that scenario is not going to be easy to resolve with the money involved!
  7. Despite your (and others) reservations about ticket sales, you will be surprised to see the club are in fact on track to reach the pre-pandemic level of sales looking at the numbers sold so far.
  8. Communications getting a bit better - new kits update issued by the club - self explanatory.
  9. Thats a huge claim suggesting no one had any rumours about Mowbray being looked at😜
  10. The interview process is pretty simple. Review the applicants and then identify the shortlist of preferred interviewees. Hold a meeting or conduct an interview with the listed applicants - see what they can offer, what they bring, how they can use their experience to progress this squad and what else would they need to assist them/salary and budgets will also be discussed. Review the interviews and make recommendations to the owners. Hold second interviews/discussions with the preferred option and ultimately make an offer. It is well documented the players return 13/6 to training and that the club want the new structure in place before then. FFS there are still some who are lumping cash on Venus being DOF! The backroom support team (medical/sports science) have all been identified and offered jobs as has the u23 coaching role so a lot is happening. Add to the training pitches, Ewood surface, marketing and commercial roles, preseason planning as well as contract talks there is a lot of work going on at this time. Anyone who thinks the owners are not involved or up to speed is way off the mark.
  11. I know he isnt leaving or retiring (despite what some posters on here think/suggest) on his own volition and wont be unless the owners decide otherwise and that is from the horses mouth!
  12. This deal was agreed some time ago - it should have been done in Jan but there were issues that were not resolved
  13. Netlon closed down many years ago😅 the standard of weaved pitches is so far advanced nowadays. As was seen towards the end of the last season the pitch was significantly better than it has been so now it should be even hardier than we have seen. I suppose for the doubters time will clearly tell as we head through and out of the winter period and there are more midweek games due to the World Cup break
  14. I can assure you the playing surface is a weaved pitch - it’s up to you whether you accept this but due to the high stands additional lighting has been bought to help the pitch retain its ‘performance and state’ throughout the whole season
  15. I think you are totally misguided on this point it was such a huge thing to do it was unique and it was a whole community project that took a lot of people making hard decisions despite the fact it might not be well received - I say it was a complete and utter success and deserved nothing but praise to the club the community the elders and seniors involved and of course those who took part
  16. Again I’ve never said they were but as I have highlighted the negative and abusive responses are quite shocking to be honest and again I am not a fan of the dm in fact it’s a horrible rag which like the mirror I wouldn’t wipe my arse on
  17. Ably assisted by the millions of cash at his disposal. It’s fabulous how these world class managers have never done anything on a shoestring budget or without substantial financial backing!
