January Transfer window 2022

Its not Waggot that makes that decision, its the owners! Looking at it subjectively, Rothwell is not as good as what Bournemouth already have, Billing, Lerma, Christie, cook and the mercurial Marcondes. He wont unseat any of these players. Anthony and Solanke up front can both play wide or central. Lowe and Rodgers are also a pair of decent forwards who can play Rothwells role. So, if you aks me he has his work cut out even more than he ever did at Ewood and on top of all that are Bournemouth better than us? -

I actually think its a genuine effort to sign him Rev. On the face of it Rovers are in a conundrum here. Sell him to a rival for say £2.5 million and run the risk of him firing them back above us or getting a fee that more than covers the outlay on the player over the course of his contract? I agree entirely that promotion is the goal and the money that would come in is phenomenal and has to be a factor but the reality is this, if he stays does he then kick off and not do his best? does he sulk? which in turn doesnt help the team. -

I am giving my point of view! Where have a been negative about the performance? I will tell you this they are missing out because this is the best football in 10 years and more and we have players who are actually wearing the shirt with pride and the camaraderie is wonderful, watching these players engaging with fans and responding is bloody excellent, so yes this is what they are missing. -

His injury is by all accounts not as bad he was taken off to prevent further injury -

But we know part of the problem they can’t see or understand the good that is happening in the club nor can they see that they are actually missing some great football on show and please please please don’t just tell me it’s venkys ! And yes there are other reasons or excuses but like the poster says the players deserve support -

The link to the Burnley lad is tenuous and without a doubt Burnley are deep in relegation trouble and need all hands on deck as their games come thick and fast. I don’t think as it stands Rovers will sell anyone unless the offer is so good it’s hard to refuse - the two assets being BBD and Buckley are clearly coveted by premier teams . On the plus side and fingers crossed for the Dack making a return tomorrow in the u23’s -
Yes they are in financial trouble!

If Rovers ever needed any further incentives then todays results are it! Win and it removes a bit of pressure, draw isn’t a bad result whereas a loss is unthinkable as to the damage that can be done! -

Atmosphere away is great apart from one or two tits Ewood can be just as good if the crowd rallies and we will need it on monday -
Personally Longsiders, I think Burnley have relied too much on the Dyche factor and its worn off. Burnley no longer have the fight factor, difficulty for opposition players and are too easy to play against. It will be interesting to see how BFC cope with the fixture pile up which in itself will heap additional pressure on the team.

Then its a case of the fans getting right behind the team from the off. We are well supported away from Ewood, time to bring that home - be loud be proud and be blue and white. -
I have been a vocal advocate for change of manager however it is very clear that he has got to be given a huge credit for the turnaround especially after the Fulham game. I think Rovers need 10 wins to assure a play off spot, after that its a lottery as long as don't finish in 3rd spot! Anything above 30 points and we can dream of a runners up spot, of course we may see other clubs come from nowhere to make a challenge and we may also see other clubs buckle under pressure. Rovers just need a monster of a midfielder and a finisher up front.

Derbys administrators need urgent cash, this means they cannot rely on a bidding war between clubs as clubs will already know the issues with DCFC. It will be down to which club the player himself fancies going to, the fee will be guided in all reality by the highest bidder and I dont see any club offering huge sums of cash for a player who might be released from his contract due to the club being financially bankrupt and being liquidated. -

Derby are only paying him the maximum of £5k per week under the terms of administration. Thats the highest wage payable to all of their current players who are under contract. -

Now you are being silly pal! We needed a defensive midfielder to break up play v Hull. We still require one if/when Travis is out. Lenihan can play that position with ease and it still leaves adequate cover across the back 3. -

On the basis of recent performances on the pitch, we really do need an impetus with a centre forward and solid defensive midfielder. I wonder if we could actually deploy the back three as PV, Ayala and Wharton and play Lenihan in he defensive midfield role? -

The problem area is the left back area - Huddersfield, Wigan and Hull ALL exploited Edun and his lack of defensive nouse. Rovers have a conundrum on the centre forward spot- Gally is the only option as bad as he has been, he may fare better in the middle with two fast pacemen on the flanks. Whatever team is sent out, its going to be a difficult game. Boro wont hold back so Rovers have to be up for it big time. Would be happy with a draw - 1-1 -

I am now in the land of wide awake after last nights dross -I am convinced totally now that Gally and BBD cannot play together they just do not complement each each other on the park there is no communication and neither reads each other’s game. butterworth should have been given a chance he is fast dynamic and can pick a pass -furthermore Rovers had many options to put out an attacking team but Mowbray failed to realise this. We will now see what this Rovers side is made of on Monday because boro will come to win - a destructive midfielder is needed urgently
