  1. Will be interesting to see how Rhodes fairs against our back three who are tall, strong and speedy and all good in the air. I still think their threat is down the flanks and the drive created by OBrien in the middle, he has to be neutralised from the off.
  2. If Sturridge was still worth a punt he would be playing in the Championship or at the very least a lower placed Premier Team with his contacts in the game, truth is he isnt, no one wants him, he is past his sell by date and not even excelling down under. Stay clear for me, not worth it
  3. Doesn't make you a hypocrite at all. You can support the team and players whilst still having grievance with the owners, plenty of fans are in that position but as has been pointed out, the team and club are far bigger than the owners. You are missing out on a period of excellent football, togetherness and pride in the shirt. The atmosphere in the ground is getting better than at any time over the last 10 years.
  4. Another tough game ahead for Rovers where patience is key. Get a hold on the midfield and score an early goal. 1-0
  5. It’s called sensible ticket pricing something our CEO doesn’t seem to be able to grasp
  6. Huddersfield very compact set up like Barnsley were last night with the lad Obrien controlling the central midfield. They have pace down the flanks as well which Rovers will have to be wary of!
  7. February 5th away at Fulham will be very interesting 👍⚽️⚽️
  8. That may be the case but their experience will be enhanced being around this set up and actually being part of it - it will certainly give them a push to work harder and get into the team
  9. Jimbo we are double jabbed and boosted but got the virus just before Xmas let me reassure you I have had worse colds and the hardest part of it is isolation but as long as you have tv food radio and alcohol you can survive😅
  10. Covid among a midweek game in the festive period ? I think it was a good effort by Rovers fans overall despite no help from the decision makers at the club! Ticket pricing for Sunday is absolute bollocks
  11. At the time the subs were made Barnsley had the ball possession wise but were not getting anywhere fast. The subs that came on did ok, yes they were chasing the ball a bit but in all reality, Buckley had run his socks off whilst Rothwell was clearly feeling the kickings he was getting on the pitch. You cannot ask for more than we got last night, the effort was there, the ethic is there as well as pride and togetherness. When you see how galvanised the players are and how they react to the home crowd, you realise something good is happening inside the club. Long may it continue
  12. Another class performance by this lad last night. I cannot recall a midfielder like him in football who can nip the ball away in a flash and his range of passing is simply immense at times.
  13. The thing is we cannot play great every game, we cannot score 4 or 5 every game and at times we have to be patient. Last night was a prime example of having to be patient and to learn to live with pressure and expectation. It would be wrong to expect goalfest after goalfest. It would be wrong to begin to underestimate and disrespect the opposition because when this sets in we will see Rovers come unstuck. The same can be said of fans who get too carried away with the run we find our team on. I am a believer in 1 game at a time, its the only right approach to take, the rest takes care of itself as nothing else matters, only what happens at BRFC. I would be concerned if Rovers were not creating chances, missing them like we did last night doesn't make any player out of form, it shows the creativity is still very much there and the defence was still very much on top, you cannot legislate a mishit deflection getting over the line after hitting the post ! Mowbray is still doing the right thing, dampening down expectation, soothing the young players through the games, taking the pressure off them whilst going about the job quietly and efficiently! (cant really believe that I said that of TM). As a Mowbray out advocate, you can do nothing more than to tip your titfer to him, he has instilled a willingness to win, fight with effort and pride, that we have not seen at Ewood for many a year. Next.......
  14. The Rovers bandwagon is gaining some serious momentum and long may it continue👍 Points in the bag, rest up and go again for what is now an even bigger game on Sunday. It’s time to back this team and believe
  15. You are right by your suggestion ulrich but this is football this is Rovers and how many times have we seen our team fold in these types of games ? It’s huge for us tonight let’s just hope we are positive and get a positive result
  16. I hope that the Ewood crowd can play a significant part in tonights game, roaring the team on and backing them loud and proud. The frustrations of Hull being cancelled should be taken out tonight and getting behind the team to win what is now a crucial game in the context of some of the results and cancellations over the xmas period. Win tonight and Sunday could be another fabulous Ewood occasion.
  17. And money doesn’t motivate project Man City? Of course money motivates footballers get in the real world my friend!
  18. First reported in the mirror then the sun, express and mail! It’s a runaround story
  19. Take it one game at a time Rovers. Hard to see or work out Barnsley’s approach to the game or as to what formation they will play. One thing they do well is wind players up, dive and jump around as if hit by a train! Rovers have to be patient, score early and it’s potentially another result similar to Birmingham. on the other hand, would take a last minute off the backside goal to snag the 3 points!
  20. I disagree with the Armstrong bit, he was wasteful at times costing us games and points. We are more ruthless chance wise
  21. It’s faff all to do with Boris and the government it’s the FA who control it. This virus has to be lived with as it begins to die off just like Spanish flu did in 1918. We have to get on with everyday life. Ffs even smarmy Starmer and co agree on that point.,
  22. There is not current cut off TIME for an EFL game to be postponed so no penalty no free award and game will be rescheduled in the future. Bin the FA Cup tie concentration on the league
  23. No, I have had it and with my booster jab all I had was a snotty nose for 2 days. 5 negative tests now and looking forward to some sense of normality
