Attendances: A cause for concern

requested to wear one on the concourses but no requirement to wear one inside the ground/seating areas. -
I can tell you offers for DL and JR were made before the end of last season, RN was at the end of the season. Its not from the word of anyone inside the club it is from a very close and reliable source from the sports legal world!
-
And explain then why there is a sale at the end of every season where you can buy a shirt for half price? There wont be that issue this year because the popularity has never been as strong. It makes good business sense as you cant just rely on a splurge of shirt sales at Xmas, alas, you might next be suggesting that we do a mean average of every fans birthday and stock up on the most popular months for birthdays!
-
As a final say in this issue, why would Rovers commit to a massive order of shirts - a higher cumulative figure than sales averaged over a couple of years - in the knowledge they would probably not sell them all? I think that is a positive sales result, selling out a popular product, in fact its a sales dream some might say. I get the Xmas thing but the reality is shirts are bought in the main pre season and will undoubtedly attract buyers at Xmas because normally we would still have loads left. With the style of kit on offer being attractive thats why they have proven so popular and why they are short in numbers. Good business if you ask me

I disagree as could be seen with the Rovers following earlier this season on a seriously bad rainy night! Rovers away following is a decent one wherever we go, their numbers cannot be compared to ours even a local derby didn't get them excited so a Sunday afternoon at Ewood? Don't think so especially at Christmas -

Huddersfield are not exactly the best supported team in the league. I dont think they will bring over 2500. -

I went to wembley v Andorra - a crowd of over 60k was expected. The system in place suggested checks on your covid status etc but in all reality it was easy, show your phone if you could access 4g and mot people just sailed through the security checks without any issue. I just do not see it as an issue at Rovers. -
Are you seriously comparing little old Blackburn rovers versus the 3 biggest clubs in the UK? As for thinking I am apologising you are so wide of the mark it’s yourself who is embarrassing let alone tiresome 🤬 We are a town team club punching way above its weight. What other excuses can be offered? Ordering a further 5k home shirts and then having to take a hit 3 months down the line as 4k remain unsold ? Rovers shirt sales this season have outweighed previous seasons and the numbers in the supply line will be based on a average sale over 3 or 4 years. It appears to me to be a sensible thing to do in these times after all especially as fans are not flocking to buy match tickets in their thousands so what makes you think they are going to suddenly splash £50 on shirts ? Even Christmas time isn’t a good enough reason to have thousands of extra shirts as simply they won’t get sold saving money ! The club don’t need me to defend them and I am not embarrassed for one minute by your comments in fact I couldn’t care less.

Totally agree sadly the old bill have the final say in relation to potential disorder outside the ground !

If you dont comply you wont get entry which is a personal choice. If you are asking for a refund then go for it, it makes little or no sense to me. -

I am still of the opinions your views are wasted on here, get on the blower and offer your expertise! I will be chatting to SW pretty soon and if you have no objections I will be highlighting your points to him, along with my own and try to get some additional answers and of course a job application for you😀 -

I have reiterated my views to the club about the clear and apparent lack of commercial nouse and an unwillingness to engage with the support. I am assured there are happenings going on behind the scenes as the club attempts to recover from the last 2 years and I am hopeful that the new "commercial team" will actually engage with a view to improving all aspects of that side of the football club. In saying that I still retain a view that the fans have a part to play in helping the club regain an even better footing financial wise and indeed alongside those views and of course akin to the success of the team on the pitch, I do not see many reasons why the fans cannot come back to Ewood. I have voiced my discontent about the owners but they are no longer an excuse NOT to support the team from the terraces. Any Rovers fan with the club at heart can see through the haze of hatred for the owners, they can look beyond the poor football at times over the last few years, they can see through the glazed views of some fans who despise everything about the relegation/promotion and an apparent regression and they can almost certainly see past the poor runs and a 7-0 loss at home. Its about supporting the club through thick and thin. If we see success on the pitch like we are seeing with the young players and if we see an improvement commercially wise then what excuses are left for fans not to come to the ground? Thats the point I was trying to make. -

Which way does it work then? Why is Burnley seen as a better venue than Rovers for such relatively prestigious fixtures? I would suspect that part of it is down to having friends in high places at the FA - for example Southgate's Middlesbrough connections ensuring the Riverside hosted 2 senior friendlies recently - but there will also be an element of proactivity about it - putting the name out there and embracing the prospect of doing it. I'm sure you'll explain to me a collection of reasons why we can't do it. Can't Do FC are good at finding reasons why things can't happen instead of just getting on with it. Can't spend money - Who says we cant spend money? Can't get a new pitch - pitch was renovated at a lower cost than first thought and will be fully replaced at the end of the season. The priority was the training pitches. Can't sell more tickets - we can though, the fans just wont buy them for all sorts of reasons. Can't get better crowds - see above. Can't make new signings - yes we can however as the transfer window is closed you are right, we cant YET! Can't cope with FFP rules - yes we can we are fully compliant hence no penalties and no points deductions and even better NO WARNINGS! Can't, Can't Can't. - wrong wrong wrong (AGAIN!) Mowbray has confirmed it himself that he hasn't been offered a new deal and isn't really interested YET. He along with others at the club, agents and other sources have ALL confirmed contracts have been offered and have so far have all been declined. So on this point I really cant get my head around why you still don't accept is as being true! -

It won’t be a top 6 club coming in for BBD but the likes of leeds palace Newcastle might do. I agree a figure north of £20m is something we couldn’t turn down -

It’s potentially a huge game for these Rovers youngsters, win and not only does it close the gap, it sends out a real statement of intent whilst seriously boosting confidence. It will be tough but I don’t see a lot of goals in it. -

Something that appears to have been missed by many - at the moment agents have suggested the players don’t sign just yet! Now don’t get me wrong there are two ways of interpreting those words but it suggests to me the offers are not that far away. -

To help you out! ONLY TM has not been offered a new contract! Trawl through his comments and he has said so himself on a good few times.
