  1. Utter rubbish again. I blame the owners, mowbray and the club for various aspects I see as failures, I also compliment the good things that I also see or am aware of. In respect of contract offers and just to be perfectly clear, it is NOT a last minute dash to secure the players on new contracts its been going on for a while, so I would stop thinking otherwise. The players and their agents have failed to agree to the terms on offer, all of which are IMPROVEMENTS on current contracts.
  2. Yes I do he is the one declining to sign the much improved contract he has been offered.
  3. Looks like they have imploded !
  4. It might have but the money back then was nowhere near as it is now by comparison and of course the club was better run. Despite that, the fact remains that players have the power when running contracts down, not even Jack could have changed that!
  5. Gav you cannot blame the club for a player running a contract down it happens all across the football spectrum and just doesn't affect or beloved BRFC it effects each and every club. Contract offers have been made, improvements offered and yet the players decline to sign, no one other than the player himself can be blamed if blame is to be apportioned. Its not mowbray or waggots fault they act within the guidelines and budget, it is as simple as that. So no its not badly advised or incompetence, its how football contracts work
  6. I just dont see Dack making it this season. If his recovery was on schedule we would have seen him in videos kicking and training, without any updates from the club its more likely to be next season that he is back
  7. You can only beat the team that is front of you and last night we saw a good Rovers performance, many good individual efforts and a clean sheet to boot. BBD is becoming a phenomenal player he is like a man possessed at times! Runs his heart out, ball control has improved, positional sense has improved whilst his instinctive finishing is to be admired. I was wondering what his current conversion rate is compared to AA's this time last season ? Kaminski - good save when called upon, steady as a rock. Wharton, Lenihan and Ayala - all good until the injury forced DA off the pitch. Didnt really affect the team set up. Wharton is becoming a class act and I echo the comments of a member on here, the future captain of this club if as expected Lenihan leaves in January. Nyambe, Travis, Buckley, Rothwell and Pickering - all solid and a great effort from both Buckley and Rothwell whilst Travis cruised the central midfield berth for the whole 90 minutes. Pickering was very good and a great finish. Dolan and BBD - worked their socks off. TD is like a gnat how he caused mayhem for the second goal and selflessly set up BBD to score, I noted how BBD went straight to him that celebrate rather than taking off to the crowd! BBD cultured finish for his second and it would be remiss of me to suggest that two seasons ago he would have missed and fell flat on his face! Nyambe is a player who despite his power and pace is a very poor passer and crosser of the ball. I fail to see how he thinks he is premiership quality or indeed how he thinks he an actually better himself at other clubs in this league, same applies to both Rothwell and Lenihan. Now Gerrard has left Rangers I dont see the Rothwell interest being anymore as Rangers have some financial issues to overcome. Credit to Mowbray himself for the way he set his team up and how he has got this young team firing back aftr the Fulham collapse. Next top Stoke
  8. I dont see that as an issue, Nymabe as powerful as he might be, is a very poor crosser of the ball and he most certainly is not a finisher in the mould of a Chris Price !
  9. He can’t be sold before January which happens to come after December 😅
  10. Quite misrepresented post. The club are continuing to TALK to agents of ALL the players and NO agreements have been made YET. Not a lot the club can do if the players declines the offers.
  11. It can only be a move if the club have agreed a fee, it is not up to the player who is under contract to gout and find a club as they are only free to conduct negotiations if the club firstly agree or it is after the 1st January
  12. Again someone hasn’t read my post properly! I said some might say they played a blinder, I never said I said they had played a blinder! There has been gross mismanagement of money over 11 years of waste. I know this like many other Rovers fans, I also know the owners realise this even more so with events of the last 18 months or so. I wonder how many fans realise money was still being paid out up to the end of last season for premiership failures? Where then hell have I ever referred to it as a genius act? It was a necessary act to prevent the club being in a similar situation as Derby and reading and was something that was done to allow funding to be spent more wisely.
  13. A few still don't understand that the way Rovers have played this "sale" is consummate with FFP rules and that this practice is now no longer allowed in the Football League. You could actually say they played a blinder on this point.
  14. I haven't ignored it I don't recall seeing it. Bonus payments for relegation? I am not too sure on that ethic but in football if you drop a league or two you take wage drops not increases. Contracts in football are also subject to overview of the FA and Premier League for compliance and I am pretty sure that if such clauses were put in place someone would have noticed it!
  15. That’s not evidence of what you have claimed let’s have it from you otherwise it’s just utter rubbish
  16. Rowing back? Give your head a wobble Gav! I am waiting for you to provide tangible evidence that our team and club were deliberately sent out to get themselves relegated out of the league over the course of the season ! That is what you claim I simply dispute it and unless you do so then your argument fails miserably. Never through the history of football has a club gone out simply to achieve relegation it is as simple as that
  17. For me, the Fanzone in the area at the Blackburn End is a great option however, the club seem unable to grasp it. Plus points - big open space, some good coverage and space for plenty more, seating, options for food and drink as well as entertainment. Negative points - Commercialism is poor, 4 staff serving from 2 beer points is slow, no forward thinking from BRFC, they still charge to get in the blues bar and they fail to achieve any semblence of getting things right with entertainment such as having big screens in the vicinity. There is a serious lack of nouse in promoting Ewood
  18. It makes not a single ounce of sense, they own the club and the debt!
  19. What absolute bunkum. Lets have the evidence you proclaim of a whole team set up to play a whole season with relegation the only aim! I will factually accept individual rotten eggs making money across all sports but please !
  20. You've not read what I wrote properly - I said as a whole, meaning the whole team and set up !
  21. There is not a professional player on earth who would play to get relegated in a team as a whole
  22. For the life of me I have never come across professional footballers who were paid to simply get relegated !
  23. Relegation deliberate ? Don’t be so ridiculous we were relegated because of the incompetent managers at the time
  24. Let’s be brutally honest Andrews was utter shite being similar in status to our current managerial set up! Mowbray is out of his depth and is completely stale
