WBA arrive full of confidence having battered Sheff Utd. They have a style of play where they try to overrun the midfield and defence and then bombard the back 4 with long stokelike throw ins which have reaped rewards for them. The two central defenders are peripheral to a positive result in my view. How do you combat the throw ins? Sheff U capitulated big time and all 4 goals were avoidable but just like last year they showed they have little fight. Rovers will be a different prospect in that we have two defenders who can actually win headers, step forward Ayala, this is the game for you to shine and this is the game to show you havhe the strength and stamina to play 3 games in a week. I dont expect to win indeed I predict a loss (like the 3 previous games). 2-0 WBA and as I will miss the game due to other longstanding commitments, I will be watching from afar having sunk quite a few sherberts down in Eccleshall. Speculating about Nyambe is just shockingly poor and without a shred of evidence! Everyone who supports Rovers knows he has issues with hamstrings and has done over the past 4 years. I think tonight's game might send out a message to potential players on how Rovers stand even with just 3 games on the clock. Rovers win sees them joint top and therefore a potentially good option to go and play. Rovers draw doesn't do them any harm, its another point on the road. Rovers defeat will see Mowbray deal out some lame excuses which will go against Rovers and whatever ambition they retain.

Never a good omen when rovers come to play a team who have lost 2 on the bounce whilst we have started ok especially when it’s a midweek away game. This isn’t itk or possible news by source but I have had a text from an old pal who is a Peterborough fan and he has said that rumours are around that Rovers are interested in one of their players who isn’t in the starting 11 today. I’ve no idea who it is and what position the player normally operates from.

The issue is that if the clubs mentioned above they are all managed by proper people behind the scenes who understand finance whereas Rovers are shockingly poor off the park.
