  1. Good points Rev however they were starting to overrun us both the flanks and middle so something was needed to shore the defence and midfield, better to have taken a point rather than a defeat and nil points. In saying that the result is all that matters. Previous seasons would have seen Rovers buckle big time in fact when last season resumed its what we saw time and time again. This current Rovers squad have a togetherness and a will to win but more importantly they appear to have learned how to defend the ball and you can see this by the amount of players throwing themselves in front of the ball. I believe we must be the highest team when it comes to blocking shots especially in our goal area. Brentford will pose a totally different kind of opposition on Saturday, they play football, pretty football and will have two big lads up front in Forss and Toney. Mowbray will have his work cut out preparing for this game as the players need a rest whilst getting ready for Saturday. Can Rovers pass this test? I would think possession football from both teams will be on show. Squad management is the key and despite my own misgivings about TM so far he has got more right than wrong and long may it continue.
  2. That millwall forum highlights what a pathetic racist set of fans still follow them and judging by their tone they are a pretty thick set of morons! Yes the penalty decisions went our way tonight abd as someone has already pointed out it evens up those errors away at Luton.
  3. Out of sorts, defensive formation was chaotic, midfield overrun at times and little service to the front men. Win ugly will do all day long. 3 points bagged we move on, rest up and concentrate on the next game. Can’t complain we won again!
  4. The name of Wednesdays game will be patience! Millwall are set up not to lose and nick a goal on the break before reverting to defensive mode. They will come to batter Rovers as I don’t think they have the skill or ability to close us down like Barnsley did. Another tough game, will take any kind of win no matter how ugly it is.
  5. Bad performance? Who cares. 3 points in the bag, we move on. Good teams can play bad and still win ugly, it’s what is needed in this division
  6. It’s a must win game for me especially after 4 away points bagged this week. Gladly take a 90th minute own goal
  7. Just amused myself reading the knobbers forum on last nights result ?? deluded fukwits
  8. I think his game is developing nicely. Carry on Ben you are a driving force behind the team.
  9. The morning after the night before? Great away result and puts to bed the fact the knob end have stolen point after point against us over 5 years, have had refs on their side and have had some big decisions go their way in most games. What a refreshing change. Rovers absolutely battered them in every department, skill, effort, football, nouse, pride, tactics and formation. 3-0 did not do that squad justice and credit to Mowbray and co. 4 points on the road isn’t a bad return, we just have to back it up with 2 home results and being Rivers fans we all know that isn’t an easy thing to do! We move on, knobbers are very quiet today and rightly so.
  10. Are season ticket holders about to be invited back into Ewood? Limits of 3000 muted in media circles ?
  11. I must have deleted it by mistake but for completing that set it was simply put as Coyle = C@nt
  12. And that is your opinion which I respect entirely. Where would our funding have come from if venkys had left? Who would have been prospective purchasers of the club? We have all read the non substance stories about so and so but in reality has anyone really been interested in taking in BRFC? The stock answer is no apart from the two local Ian’s and as good as their intentions were I do not see how they would have sustained funding akin to what venkys have done. Results on the field govern relegation and promotion - could we have tempted a better manager to take the helm? We have read the stories and claims made by Warnock yet I still question his ability to have taken Rovers up. If we go through the list of what we have had~ Kean - royally screwed BRfC. Berg - wrong place wrong time did not do well. Appleton - useless Lambert - too full of himself and again not good enough Bowyer - simply put just a nice fella who tried and did his best which was not good enough. Mowbray - love him or hate him he has worked miracles and has been adequately backed by the owners. A ship steadier but has he got the credentials to take us one step further? His record suggests yes however I like others have become amazed at his playing formations. My position on the jury panel is sitting on the fence. I wanted a change but now I am sat waiting to see how this month pans out. I don’t see how anyone can form a view that we would still be PL. The Walker family wanted rid at any price that is evidently clear. We had a pretender come forward before the club was sold. Who takes the blame? The Walkers? The Trust? The Board for not standing up to be counted? the FA and PL for not doing their jobs properly and of course the so called consortium led by those previously mentioned and the leech that is Keanscum? Some people do not fully understand the debt is beholden to Venkys, they pump the cash into one of their companies. Yes it’s a loss. Looking into venkys other business is interesting, they are big players and are worth a lot of money, even in today’s climate they are cash rich and own lots of land. Should Rovers reach the promised land of the Premiership, I think it will signal then end of their reign and they will move on or try to. In the meantime we just have to sit back, support the club and hope and dream. after all we did it back in 1992, 93, 94, 95, 96 and so on.
  13. Nice to read Glens comments once again he is a miss to all things Rovers. There has been a lot of water under the bridge. I am a Rover through and through, I along with others had a short time away due to my despising of venkys and all that they represented. I can never forget how they oversaw so much damage to my club. There have been may conspiracy theories, many people to slag off and far too many that will forever be hated in football circles by Rovers fans, non more so than keanscum and Coyle. I am not absolving venkys from their part in the demise of our club however I do understand that without them we wouldn’t be here and Rovers would have capitulated to where we don’t know. One day I hope the truth can be said and it all comes out just to see exactly what happened and to see if any of our theories can be corroborated just so that we can finally apportion blame or wrong doing to be evidenced. In the meantime, no one is bigger than our club. The colours stand strong and we are slowly but surely recovering and getting a standing once again competitive wise. Who knows, this season could be the one to help rid us of the nightmare we have all suffered. BRFC beats strong
  14. Lenihan was only called up for cover, so don’t read too much into it! Rovers owe Luton a spanking. Arma and BB to notch us to a win.
  15. When playing alongside Evans his game suffers as a result of Evans lack of ability to control the ball!
  16. Take the points rest up then go again we really do owe Luton a pasting
  17. The qpr player went down after being kicked by his own player shocking ref shocking decision
  18. Maybe if he controlled the ball better he wouldn’t have had to stretch trying to recover his position!
  19. Evans only had himself to blame for getting injured his piss poor control let him down again !
  20. Thing that was well and truly highlighted is that you cannot play Brereton and Gally up front together especially without a supply line. In 90 mins we had 1 just 1 decent cross and neither could put a foot on it. If they are on the pitch together it has to be 4-4-2 with a supply line, it’s the only way forward. Other than that how we stole a point is unexplainable ?
  21. Turgid from Rovers, defence all over boro totally dominating, only a matter of time.....
