  1. The biggest criticism I have for him is that he refuses to play the best 11! The frustrating thing is how he persists with Evans in the middle, not blessed with speed, gives far too many balls away, is a very poor deliverer of the final pass and is a hindrance to both his fellow midfielder and defence.
  2. I forgot to add it doesn’t help when your captain misses a free header from 6 yards out then contrived to put one in our own net?
  3. If you persist in missing excellent chances when dominating possession it always ends in defeat it’s consistent with Rovers. Very disappointing to be 3-1 down here
  4. How about 3-5-2? with Douglas and Nyambe as wing backs it leaves Ayala, Lenihan and Williams as a solid back 3. Supported by the two wing backs who are very much blessed with pace and a defensive midfielder in either Travis, Johnson or Trybull. It allows a creative player - Holtby or Dack, to play right behind two forwards which for me would be Armstrong and Brereton/ Elliott. The players we have now also allow fir changes to formation, 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 and 4-3-3. It is still about putting the best players on the pitch⚽️
  5. No point in sentiment here you play the strongest team available that means no Evans !
  6. The biggest issue was we had no drive, Evans hampers Rovers play, he is slow and his passing is truly awful. We move on after all it’s only Watford ?
  7. It’s been written since the start possession football is good as well but you need to create. Evans is the weakness in this side ?
  8. The biggest and most interesting thing about this rovers squad now is that we have defensive quality, strength across the middle of the park both in protecting the back 4 and support to the front players, pace, nouse, width, creativity with pace to burn up front. Moreover there is competition for places creating incentives for players to perform something we haven’t had. There are a lot of teams that don’t have what we now have Rovers and Mowbray have to reap the opportunities in front of them. The squad set up reminds me of how Norwich wiped the floor a couple of seasons ago. It’s nothing but positive if you ask me⚽️
  9. Steptoe you have no idea either. Unless your his agent or a fellow player which you clearly are NOT! His quality in the ball cannot be questioned as when I have seen him play he stands way above others of his age
  10. Well well we’ll get your hands in your pockets and get the season tickets bought, you might welcome the big discounts for next season??
  11. Well for once deadline day has been good and it’s been a marked change on here with hardly any bitching biting or abuse for once??
  12. If anything Rovers players will have to perform with the new signings due in today. If they drop performance wise then they know they face a fight to get in the starting 11 more importantly as we head toward November/December Dack and Travis will both be back hopefully so there will be some serious competition in that squad, a huge incentive to perform and do well
  13. Sparks rover football expert and font of all knowledge think we trust Brfc over the above post?
  14. Forest will come with only 1 thing on their mind - not to lose ! Rovers must carry in the pressing game 1st goal will be crucial.
  15. Forest have been so disjointed I find it hard to think Hughton will wave some sort of magic wand straight away. Football is a different game at this present time without fans to get behind a team. I still think Rovers will beat them
  16. I am still wondering how this lad got to Rovers without nicko catching the whole story ??
  17. Watkins has shown he can perform when he plays with better players, what makes you think Armstrong can’t do the same? Both are fast, both are instinctive, both can score goals in and out of the box. watching Watkins goals v Liverpool I am positive Armstrong choke£ have applied the same finishes!
  18. It isn’t closed yet the UK window has another 10 days left
  19. Dack has a long long way in front of him to prove his fitness ability and value not just to other suitors but more importantly to Rovers
  20. The Tosin transfer highlights a few things as already pointed out on here. He was unaffordable even if we hadn’t bought a player for 4 seasons or more, wages are too high and will be in excess if £50k a week. It also highlights that even City are over concerned about his ability once vaunted by pep as the future of city now facing a relegation battle with Foolham! In any case he won’t walk into their team as it stands. Good luck to him and foolham they will need it and yet again a foolham splurge of cash won’t save them they will come down again in an even worse financial state than the last time ?
