Didn't Henchoz go the wrong way to be considered a feeder club?

A player who I thought was impressive was Beckham. He was involved in virtually everything that England did that was good. What I also noticed was that he seemed to have that drive back in his game, he was getting around the pitch and really troubling the opposition, he's been in good form for Real Madrid this season and it was good to see him play like that for England again.
-
If we want to pay off the rest of his wages yes. Doesn't make much sense though does it, pay his wages and not having him there just in case. I thought he did well for us at times and was simply the scape goat for a bad team and an even worse defense. Not a great signing, not worth the money, but doesn't deserve all of the flack that he gets.

I thought he did quite well. I'm not a Crouch fan, although I'm not a Crouch hater like some, but I thought he did pretty well and won the ball well a few times. Didn't set the world on fire but did what he needed to.

That game more than justified the why. For once a friendly game that had passion and entertainment and that I actually couldn't pull away from.

I'm sure we've all enjoyed reading it.

I don't know the Scottish league that well but wouldn't Hearts have been one of the favourites to finish 3rd usually? While Hibs generally do quite well too don't they? Both leagues are pretty predictable when it comes to who will win. In Scotland it is one from two and in England it is 1 from 3. Considering that Scotland has fewer teams that basically makes it about the same. Having said that, basically every league in Europe suffers from the same problem, it is the nature of the money-run football. Every now and then you'll see a surprise but basically each team stays within their tier and will simply shift positions within there.

Watched the footage of that, not exactly one to inspire is he.

Sorry...misunderstood.

Disagree with you there, once again TND has shown himself to be no better than mindless insults. I'd prefer it if you didn't continue to make the troubles of the city and country where my family live into small jokes for your own amusement.

I agree with you that he hasn't been great, but that is unfair. Hughes picks the team. Like any good player Bentley will, and should, simply accept where his name is put down on the team sheet and perform his task to the best of his ability, this wouldn't change even if Hughes decided he should go in goal. You can't give him a hard time just because he is being played out of position, I think he has shown enough to prove that he has a lot of talent when it comes to playing in the middle or just behind the front two, if and when he gets the chance to have a few games in that position I'm sure he'd do well, for now he simply forms a valuable part of the squad, one that I'm sure will prove to be more valuable as the season progresses. -
I think this has been pretty well discussed, and is still being discussed, in the "is he back thread". The thing is though, until he gets a run in the team the Jansen fans will never give up on the idea of him making a return, yet, until he proves himself to be good enough, none of the doubters will want to see him having a run in the team. Bit of a catch 22 really.

I'd like to see Savage back in the side, he's been good this season, especially recently. As mentioned, with Emerton probably going to be too tired to play in the City game it would probably be best to then stick Reid out on the right and let Savage come back into the middle. The only other options for the right are Bentley and Thompson. Bentley has been decent this season, but he has been much better either when on the left or in the middle, while I'm not even sure if Thompson is fit enough to play. -
Yes, but wigan are 2nd in the table and have just been promoted, they should be getting big crowds.

Ah ok. Thanks for that. Um no she won't be, we are no longer together I'm afraid to say. If you'd like I'll bring along another girl, just to make you happy though.

Just signed up as well. -
I'd certainly be interested in playing. How often do you play and where?
-
Ouch. Don't know where to start with that really, sorry I've offended you. I have started my law course, I'm just on reading week at the moment which is why I'm back in Paris, but when I go to the Charlton game I'll be going from Guildford, didn't know it was a problem to use this site to just ask if it was a difficult ground to get to. The cricket in the West Indies was put on hold as I decided to study law, I might do it after my course finishes, but for now I'm just playing cricket in England and trying to get my degree. I'm sorry if you were one of those who I let down with the Livestrong wristbands, I can't remember if you were, but that wasn't something I had meant to do. Trust me, losing that amount of money wasn't really in the plan, and I apologise as I know a few of the board members were looking forward to getting them and I had come up with a solution and they then had to look for other means. I did play football with and against PSG players while I lived in France, now I'm in England I still play but I find it difficult to play as often as I used to, I know I had offered to play for the London Branch in the 5 a side tournament at the end of last season but it turned out that I was unable to get to the game in the end and so couldn't play. I'm really sorry about that but I would actually like to try and do it this year as I will be in England, which makes it a lot easier. I hope none of you take my comments on the thread in ICBINF too seriously when it comes to my wealth, youth or intelligence. I'm simply saying some of those things because it seems to be the only thing TND can say against certain political and social views, it's not done particularly seriously. Sorry for the bullshit tris, see you at the game.

Thanks. Sounds easy enough so I think I'll be making the trip.

Beckham has been in fine form for Madrid recently so I think he more than deserves to keep his place. No player is beyond being dropped, but recent form means that, in my opinion, he's the best man for the job. -
I'm thinking I might go to this game. Is it difficult to get to the Valley?

We only think that because missing the penalty turned out to be unimportant. Had we drawn that game, or even lost it, then we would all be on here moaning about how awful and unfair that was. There were also some bad decisions when it came to calling Bellamy offside, sometimes he was quite far on. For the Dickov goal, I still think he's just about level when he ball his played, his right leg and right side of his body seems level with the defender, it just seems as though he moves in while everyone moves out and it makes him look far offside, but I actually think it was a good decision.
