I don't think I'm always right, but obviously if I hold a belief for that time at least I do believe it to be the right one. If you can say something that changes my mind then all credit to you, it is possible, but as of yet your mindless rants and insults have yet to ever do it. My actual point was that I thought you had the right to your opinion and because of that had the right to post that opinion, but I also then had the right to post mine. This was actually a direct reaction to the fact that a few of you right wingers had been complaining about the fact that flopsy was posting his opinion, one different to your own. Now it may just be me, but you are coming across as a bit of a hypocrite right now. So regularly the few of you who hold such extreme views ruin debates like this by forgetting the issue itself as you are bombarded by facts and opinions that go against what you believe. What you do to respond to this is to pick on the individual post or detail and take the discussion off topic, you avoid further embarrassment but your ruin the debate itself. It would be nice if for once one of you could avoid slipping down into personal insults simply because someone doesn't agree with you. I don't like what you say, but doesn't mean I then insult you because of it, I just try and prove you wrong and prevent as many people as possible from becoming the sort of illogical bigot that you are.

The only reason any of you have any problem with the moderating on this topic is that a moderator happens to disagree with your rather extremist views, like most others I must add, and because of this you can't believe you are possibly being put in your place by someone who you believe should be staying neutral. Moderators should not be prohibited from participating in discussions, and one of this sort means that when you voice your opinion, especially when there is such a wide spectrum on show on the messageboard, you will offend some. I can't believe that some of your opinions are given air-time on any website, radio station or tv channel, I can't believe some of them even run through people's heads, but you are entitled to them and are thus able to post them on this board, my duty is then to respond to them and to try and attempt to point out why they are wrong. Flopsy is simply doing the same, don't change the topic because someone is simply making you think fast about why you have certain views.

Wigan Really difficult to predict what the table will look like. First of all I'm sure there are a lot of transfers to come that may well have a great impact on their respective teams and what is expected of them. At the same time very little seperates any of the teams from about 5-15, while towards the bottom there is basically nothing that can seperate that lot except things like proven Premiership experience in the case of Portsmouth and West Brom. I'm sure this season will provide as many, if not more, surprises as last year did. Hopefully it will be a little more interesting towards the top and Rovers will have a better campaign. Can't really place us, but would say we will be anywhere from 5-12.

It would make sense for you, but not for us. Given that it has only been reported by your friend rather than in any newspaper, website or tabloid despite the fact that they picked up on the release clause that does exist means it is unlikely that many of us on here will ever believe you or your friend. Well I knew paddyk would turn up again sometime after this transfer. Ignore him and he'll go away until we play them next. I'm still really pleased with this transfer and just can't wait for the new season to come, especially if we can add a couple of new faces by then and hopefully get rid of a bit of the deadwood. Like the rest of you I'm also really hoping Bellamy scores the winner against Newcastle.

Yes and making lot's of people angry who had nothing to do with this will stop it, good plan. As of yet we can't even say 100% sure that this was done by an islamic terrorist group, I really hope it wasn't, even though that sounds so odd. What we need to do now is to take firm action to prevent such things happening in the future as well as catching whoever has done this, what we don't need to do is lay the seeds for there to be more terrorists in 5-10 years time. Did you want every Catholic church to be closed during the IRA or Real IRA bombings? No. Did the French close every Mosque during the metro bombings by the Algerians? No. So why do it now? What makes this so different from the terrorists we have encountered in the past? Nothing, just America making it a war on terrorism is all. They are the scum of the earth, of that there is no doubt, but they come from a people who for the vast, vast majority this was an equally horrible event and who are nothing but law abiding. I find it amazing that as society and technology advance, making events like this even easier with the advent of new forms of weapons and communications that the effect that they can have is becoming even greater. Now this may seem to be a blinding glimpse of the obvious, but I don't mean in terms of the number of lives they can take, the number of buildings they can destroy, I mean in the societal regression they can cause. In these few short days I have seen some members of this board, as well as simply the general public, want to sink to standards so low, barbaric and ignorant that we would have been proud of them centuries ago. Yet somehow intertwined in this they are horrified by the acts of two days ago, judging them by modern ethics, but when we then plan our next action, our next step, we forget about these standards. You wish to judge these men or women by one set of rules and yet in punishing them you basically want to sink to their level, to a level I dearly hope I never see any society I live in go to.

Why don't we let him play until we all tell him he's rubbish. No one thought Johnson would set the Premiership alight, now look at him. No one thought that Crouch would cause anyone trouble, look what he did. Even look what Dickov did in relation to our other strikers last season. Now I'm not saying he's going to bang in 20 goals or that I want him to be in our first choice pairing, but it is quite possible that he'll provide decent cover and get 5/6 goals this season that could get us 6/9 more points. Now considering we paid nothing for him I don't think that is bad business.

My greatest fear that has resulted from the terrorist attacks of this morning are that this will simply be more fuel to the fire of the gun-slinging war on terror brigade. The last thing we needed at this point as everything was beginning to turn against them was more fear, anger and hatred that can simply help them to gain support. What happened today was horrific, unjustified and barbaric. Sadly, I fear that the response of the world may well be to simply continue policies that will ensure that others will die, not only in the wars we decide to fight but because of future incidents of this sort. Before I anger anyone I'm not saying to give into the terrorists, nothing of the sort. I just wish we could pursue a hardline policy that didn't include invading another country, I don't know whether the current political leaders are actually capable of doing such a thing. I feel horrible for all of those who have been affected by the events of today and am glad to say that I'm not one of them. I hope that in the coming months they will be able to work through any injuries, phobias and the grieving process. I also hope that in response to their tragedy, and also what is a tragedy as a nation and a world, we take actions that do them justice, that can actually prevent this from happening again rather than simply pointing a finger and blowing things up whever it happens to land.

Yes there is quite a lot of Paris 2012 stuff here, but to be honest with you I think they'll probably still get rid of most of it at a good price. That sort of stuff will only be bought by tourists who will still like the fact that they are buying a t-shirt from the Paris bid. There aren't tons of the things, I actually rarely see them, but that picture is quite amusing.

Well not long to go until we'll all know who's getting the games. Such a big fix and a waste of money really the process should be changed but that's modern day sport for you, even when it's for an "amateur" games. Hoping London will get it, despite my present location, though I'm sure both could put on a great show, just have a feeling Paris will get it in the end though.
