  1. I see Saunders is one of the favourites to take over from Hughes. Is it possible that Souness will now lose his little lover?
  2. This should also show the boys at Sky what a good and tempting job being the manager of Rovers is. For Hughes to leave the relative security of his previous job, one which he was very proud to be doing, says that there is obviously a reason to be at Ewood Park.
  3. Jan is a woman? haha I never knew
  4. Findland isn't part of Scandinavia. End of story
  5. Good news. Hopefully we can get this all tied up relatively quickly qnd the team will be able to get back on track.
  6. Jim I suppose I am one of those whom you are talking about, as I was a Souness suporter. Now that he his gone I am not bothered, I don't think we have lost anything major and I don't like the way in which he left. However, when he was at the club, like any manager here (barring those bringing the club to absolute ruin) I was going to support him. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt based on the success he has brought to the club in the first 3 years he was here, and so was willing to give him time in order for him to show that he had the club back on the right track. Now that he is gone though, I'm happy to get a new man in with new ideas. I wouldn't have been happy if he had been sacked, though I'm sure none of that really makes sense when all put together
  7. Would it even be possible for us to merge the four clubs and still remain in the top flight? Im not saying that this is what I want to do, I enjoy being Blackburn Rovers and having our local rivals, the idea simply interests me.
  8. Its when you see things like that, that you realise that so many of us on this board simply have too much free time haha.
  9. Would you really like JW to say "Well we've had a few applicants but I'm not really sure why as our squad is crap and we are doomed to be relegated. Whoever the poor sod is who we choose to take over will have his career and name ruined by this club, and probably even his own family will disown him". We do have a good squad, it has it's problems, with the biggest one being that it has no staff.
  10. I'm not worried about losing Ferguson. He is a great player, but if Souness was to come back in for him, the sort of money we would be talking about, probably somewhere around the 10 million mark, if spent well, would help improve the team.
  11. Always been a big Souness supporter, but after seeing how he's just up and left, I have lost all respect for the man. His passion and drive are admirable, but for me this has just put a big question mark over the entire thing.
  12. I think Sutton and Hartson might have something to say about that. If he backs his own ability, and thinks the premiership is a better league than scotland, which we all do, then it makes sense that you'd rather play in england.
  13. You mean because he had actually become a bit attached to our club and wasn't willing to jump at any oppurtunity to get out of here?
  14. No no, just changed the drugs
  15. Scotty...is there any point at all to what you post? Or do you just try and have a go at as many other board members as possible?
  16. Well I suppose that put me in my place then! After all...I spend my time arguing aimlessly with people online that a man should lose his job and coming up with ridiculous justifications and replacements...oh wait
  17. So he likes Rovers, and wants to get a job, as a result of this, the club will get rid of Souness and put him in place? I wouldn't mind being a manager, and I really like the look of Rovers, think they'll free something up for me?
  18. That makes no sense to me. I know he'll need time to adapt, but he has plenty of games under his belt and should be match fit and ready, if it takes him a dozen games I really would be surprised and slightly worried. Of course, if he does come good within even a couple of years, given his age, I would be fine with it.
  19. People who are saying that Souness doesn't give youth a chance are just spouting rubbish. Gallagher may be out of favour now, but he was brought through by Souness, same with McEvely, Dunn, Douglas and Danns. It's crucial that youth players are brought in at the right time, not too soon so that they don't have their confidence smashed, and not too late so that you can get them in the team for as long as possible. So far I think Souness hasn't really lost marks concerning younger players, his selection policy at the moment is odd, but not because he isn't adding young players to it.
  20. That joke is so overused
  21. I guess the teams they have played in the last 42 games have all been "below par" as well.
  22. rover6...your signatures always make me smile haha. If it's not one campaign it's another.
  23. Well...we've just brought in Pedersen and Ferguson and Thompson will come back from suspension and injury.
  24. This Arsenal team is good...their players can score even when they don't play
