From what I have seen of the warm-ups it looks as if MGP might be taking the penalties after Lucas' miss against Sheffield United.

Have to say I find myself agreeing with Theno and Phil on this one, very rare.

[Archived] Favourite Rovers Player To Watch?
Eddie replied to RovertheHill's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Since I've really been able to appreciate football I would have to say it would be between Duff, Dunn, Jansen, Cole, Sutton, Tugay and Friedel. -
You can still play for the under 21's when you are 21, you can actually play for them when you are 22 depending on when your birthday is I believe.
-
Good to hear from you, but did you really? I watched that game on TV and actually commented on the fact that there didn't look like there were manyt there.
-
I think Bellamy should be treated like any other opposition player. I don't think he deserves to be singled out for stick, but he also doesn't deserve anything like a standing ovation, one year of service and then leaving on the cheap doesn't entitle you to that.
-
I'll go for 2-1 Rovers.
-
No, it was the FA Cup.
-
He's playing very well, why drop him? It would be cutting off our nose to spite our face. That would also mean that we would probably have to drop Bentley, who has been one of our best performers this season.
-
I agree to a certain extent, but football isn't like any other job. You are in the public eye, you earn huge amounts, you have supporters who pay large amounts of money to come and watch you kick a ball about for an hour and a half once a week and all you ever do is play football. He could do us a bit of a favour and not make comments like that.

Nancy shouldn't be much of a problem for us. They aren't very good, even though they are having a good start to the season.
-
Does anyone know around when the ticket information will be released?
-
It's true you can't score with every shot, but he should have scored some of those. That to me isn't the most important thing though, I'm happy to see him getting on the end of chances and looking dangers, he also turned defenders several times and created chances for himself, the goals will come.
-
What does everyone think my chances are of getting 2/3 tickets as a non season ticket holder?
-
Feel bad for Wigan, second year in a row that we have taken points from them with a dodgy goal.

[Archived] Ps3

Sorry about the grammatical error. Not sure which one it was now, doesn't sound like what you just described though, I thought it was just Spider-Man. You just shot your little webs all over the place and swung through the city, fighting bad guys whenever your spidey sense kicked in and you could get there fast enough. -
FIFA have some diagrams on their website and while none fit this exact description it does have one that shows a player being offside when the first pass is made to another player who is onside who then passes to the player who was initially offside but at the time of the second pass is onside, the laws of the game state that no player should be called offside during this sort of move. For me McCarthy was fine when Roberts made the pass, the only question is whether or not the officials considered him to be active for the long ball that was initially played, I don't doubt that he was, but we got a bit lucky.
-
The difference is that, even if you are right, that the issue is still not clear, even after much debate and thought, while a lot happened between him being offside near the halfway line and scoring (Roberts could have quite easily tapped it in himself). On the other hand, decisions that have gone against us like the penalty at Sheffield United or the clear offside against Liverpool last year are obvious. McCarthy was also called offside several times during the game when he wasn't, so was Jeffers.

[Archived] Financial Impact Of Group Stages

Same thought crossed my mind. That should hopefully open a spot for us, hopefully not on Eurosport again though as it is hard to convince a pub in the South to put Rovers on when Spurs are playing. -

It looks ok to me. I have to say I'd be reluctant to buy it. I bought Spiderman on the xbox and though it was fun at first zipping around the city and throwing yourself off of a building every now and then it got boring very quickly and gave me no reason to ever pick it up again. I would imagine that this may well be the same, I'll stick to things like GTA I think. -
[Archived] Upcoming 360 Games
Eddie replied to Shevchenko's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
Bought Madden 07 a few days ago and I have to say that it is a great game. It is a blow not to have Madden in it, but the commentary is less obvious and probably better for it, no sports game, no matter who they have do it, can not become annoying after a few hours of play. The graphics are great and the gameplay itself is really good. Still quite a few things that could be improved, but overall it is worth buying and for anyone who has ever liked Madden or any American Football game I would think that you will enjoy it. -
Had we found the extra cash in August I doubt we would have got him. Villa would have matched us and I am sure that he would have chosen to link up with his old manager. If we had wanted to make a move the best time would have been earlier in the summer or back in the January window (that was complicated by him signing a new window). The only real shame is that a young, yet experienced, affordable, realistic and identified target slipped through our grasp and went to a rival club. Hopefully Hughes and the team will be hot on the case and finding another option to come in during the January window (please God not Dunn, I think the physio earns his wages as it is).

A mix of thank the Gods and glamour ties would do me just fine.
-
Maybe they felt that season ticket holders would help to spread the concept through word of mouth.
-
I'm not in a position to be a season ticket holder.
